Although she only had a small part in Live and Let Die, I consider Madeline Smith to be one of the most beautiful Bond girls in the franchise's history.
One or two of the comments mention having met her. Well, ever since I struck up a conversation with her, I too have met her a few times - she lives quite near me. As others here comment, she is still beautiful. But apart from that, she is an absolutely lovely person, with no airs and graces. Altogether a gorgeous human being, and extremely nice.
I've seen a few interviews in which she comes across as an absolute gem of a human being ! Her range of acting skills were not too shabby either . Modesty in abundance and a delight to know she still works for a living ... Good on you Madeleine...
I had the privilege to meet her a few years ago, a lovely, friendly & charming lady - a bit flirty too! My boyhood fantasies instantly resurfaced.....❤❤❤
Madeline also appeared in 2 episodes of the hugely popular TV series "All Creatures Great & Small' in the late 1970s. She was (& still is!) always a favourite of mine. Still stunning at 73. (2022).
How can anybody who was born in 1950's forget Madeleine Smith? She was always someone to remember. I just wondered where she was, but never forgotten. I wish her great success and happiness.
Such a tragedy to happen to a young family. We often think of film stars and famous people having a great life but bad luck can strike anywhere. She is a beautiful woman who gave an impression of innocence. Gorgeous figure.
I recently interviewed her for the 2022 Sci-Fi Weekender, & she was the nicest person I've ever met. Just one lovely lady. Prior to the interview, I introduced myself to her & the first thing she said was 'You look lovely!' I really appreciated her honesty
I had the pleasure of meeting her in 79, I think. She was extremely charming and fun; a thoroughly lovely person. I didn't know she's lost her husband when he was so young. Good on her for getting back into the acting life. I hope she is enjoying what she is doing.
Like Caroline Munro she should have been a full fledged Bond Girl . Beautiful & very funny just like Caroline & what an honor it must have been for her to work with another ravishing lady in Ingrid Pitt. Well done clip !!!!
She worked in the Orange Tree in Richmond as a barmaid.I got up the courage, she was so beautiful,to ask her out for a drink.Sh told me that she'd got engaged to someone that week. She said she was sorry.I've never been turned down in such a gentle, kind way like that.I think she lived with her Aunty.
As someone who grew up in the 70s in the UK i saw her in countless shows on the tv it was about the mid 70s when i was noticing the opposite sex and i noticed Madeline , glad to hear that shes still with us.
Yes once met her face to face in the 70,s in a news agents , she smiled I said hello and smiled back , life was never the same again for years . An Angel in very way , considering I had just walked off a construction site .
I do remember Madeleine whilst growing up in the 70s, Like so many of the pretty young girls at that time ,she was a private person and quite happy to meet "Mr Right" and settle down. Perhaps there was not the media scrutiny then, unlike today, and the salacious gossip and innuendo, ah how times have changed.
In her teens she had a Saturday job at the baker's, next door to where I worked, in Kew Gardens. The baker always had a supply of (English) Madeleines, an individual sponge cake covered in syrupy jam and desiccated coconut with a cherry on the top. Guess what my favourite was? Lovely girl.
Madeline and the also gorgeous Valerie Leon were the only two actresses who managed the hat-trick of appearing in all three of the big British film franchises - Carry On, James Bond and Hammer Horror.
Gorgeous lady and a lovely personality. Her hubbie David Buck was one of my favourite actors who starred in the series Mystery & Imagination as Richard Beckett, one of the best programmes of the 60's most of which was wiped by an idiot!
I remember Madeleine popping up in TV roles, and the Bond film (when it was rerun) during the 80s. Had no idea she had made a comeback. Must look out for her productions.
A charming and stunning actress. I remember her from Up Pompei with all the funny Roman names ... Nausius, Ambrosia, Ludicrous, Lurkio and .... of course Erotica.
she was on the 1980s fun science programme Eureka!, so it's down to her that I know how Aspirin was created :) EDIT I never said how beautiful she is, and seems so nice a person
I love her attitude to her career and her fellow actors and directors. Stunning looks and mesmerising. I remember a tv play where she played a very sexy robot. Wish I could remember what it was called? Anybody?
She was my favourite at the time, but there was clever use of push - up bras to exaggerate their content! She wasn’t alone, most did this to give this enhanced fullness that was so entrapping to young males of this time! But, this aside...she was enchanting to the full! Cheers
Beauty and being sexy was a lot more natural looking back in the day. All the better for it in my opinion. We used to have an English teacher that looked a bit like Madeleine when I was a teenager. Happy days…..
I used to have her pictures on my bedroom wall, & I was shocked that not too long ago she appeared as a contestant on a daytime game show (cant remember which one),
