I recently went on a cruise on Carnival 🚢 and what he said about tips for the waiters/room service is very true. I personally tipped them when I left on my final day of the cruise and they’re very thankful and overwhelmed. And also being nice to them makes their job easier. Is better to tip them personally then at Customer Service where most of the money goes to the higher ups and not the crew or staff.

I bartended with Cunard back in the late '80s when the crew was mainly European and the officers British. As bartenders, we were paid $900pm plus 18% service charge so making $2500-$3000 a month which was decent back then. We worked no more than 10hrs a day and our contracts were 3months on 1month off. Yes, we technically worked every day but most ports we had a few hours off as always someone to cover your shift and vice versa. Today's young generation is not as interested working on cruise ships like us back in the day plus cheaper to pay 3rd world labor too but many of us oldies would say the time we did at sea was the best time of our lives forging many lifetime friendships across the globe 30yrs after we got off.

Am I the only one who thinks that this figure is the main template for: 1. A physicist 2. A biologist 3. A chemist 4. A comedian Like I've seen this guy or a doppelganger on multiple shows having different expertise

You don’t even have to follow the crew, literally just ask them. I asked my waiter and he told us his favorite restaurant, and we actually saw him while we were there.

My biggest fear is being shipwrecked and lost at sea. Its like a dark hole that always beckons to me. But I would love to go on a tiny cruise. Not too far from land, but far enough for the luxurious experience.

Can confirm. I dont work for a cruise company but I do live in a huge cruise destination and we dont tell the tourists about the real spots that we like to go.
