Secrets Montego Bay needs to work on these 11 cons. It would've made a difference. We’re making sure YOU know BEFORE you book with Secrets Wild Orchid or St. James
Loving this review as me and my wife will be staying at the same hotel and the same swim out room and we will be celebrating our anniversary as well so all this information is Gold!!! Already booked our travel from the hotel thanks
Great review. This resort is a dog friendly resort so you can bring your small pets. I need a pet friendly resort for my sister so I am looking at this one and Zoetry.
I take it that your review is accurate and hope that Secrets sees this and takes the necessary corrective actions. Although I do understand, you lost me a bit on the animals. Regarding the experience at the airport, as far as I am aware, an up-grading project is underway so travellers should be seeing improvements over time. Thanks for sharing.
I love Secrets Wild Orchid, compared to other resorts in Jamaica this is one of my Top hotels. I love the rooms the staff and the property. I do not agree with some part of your review, the property is not that huge compared to Palladium and Royalton, Secrets does not have control over the weather, you can also ask for other umbrellas.
Welcome to Jamaica you always do carry-on you only wear shorts and t-shirts while you're there. I can pack for 10 days and just a backpack. And I'm 300 plus pounds.
I've been to secrets wild orchid twice and had a junior suite ocean view king, and the toilet and shower were both behind their own separate doors, and this was pre-covid. Don't know how you had a open toilet. The room was plenty spacious for my wife and I. The Balcony was a very nice size as well. Also, didn't have the airport issues. Actually used the passport kiosks and checked in and out pretty quickly. Sorry for the bad experiences. Actually about to go back in a month.
Rose Hall Iberostar did not have any of the cons that you experienced. My daughters, son in-law and I Enjoyed quality stay during & prior to Easter weekend. Stayed in the Adults only location. Food was excellent which included Jamaican cuisine. Sorry that you didn't go there. 5 Star Resort.
Ok, being that this is on social media do public. I have to give my opinion of this video. I can understand the pros and cons completely, but I have a few opinions of my own. I have traveled to multiple Caribbean locations. As well as Middle East locations and all through the US. Stayed at all-inclusive and standard 4-5 star hotels/resorts. Some of the cons are to be expected when traveling to another country. Especially, the statement about the outside parts and scenery. The food will usually sit out on a food bar regularly unless you order specific dishes. Depending on the attendant the attitude could fluctuate from a super hospitable person to a more dry person who literally just do their job. It’s ok. If you are in another country, the airport will be different, their customs will be different, and their taxis or people at the airport trying to sell a product or service will be different. It’s to be expected. Also, as I was listening to the video I kinda wanted to hear the husband out but he kept getting cut off or talked over. My man…..be a man and hold your conversation and/or explanation. I’ve been married going on 15 years. Love my wife to death, but when I speaking about something she is quiet and Vice versa. Just a standard respect we have for on another. Either way. Much success. Liked the video. Safe continued travels. 💪🏿
The island cats as I called them were at our resort in St. Lucia and as you said they were just free and all under the tables I thought it was weird too and people were feeding them not my cup of tea
It must be your first time traveling international, my wife and I go to Jamaica three times per year, and your description of your experience at the airport is not unique to Jamaica. We use BWI airport, and the walk from the jet bridge to immigration hall is just as far as in Jamaica and probably more far. Ask any seasoned travelers immigration in the States can take up to two hours at some airports, i.e., IAD (Washington). In Jamaica the workers normally remove the luggage from the belt and place them to side of said belt; some may have given you the wrong belt number, but you can look at flights arrival above the belt area. You need to pass through IAD during peak arrival hours then you will see 20 to 40 minutes at MBJ is actually quick service.
Yes .. I just got back Monday and they had curry chicken some mornings ( I think wed&sun) , akee and Saltfish(which I loved with grits) fried chicken, brown stew chicken, cold cuts, smoked salmon, roasted fish ..
