I relate Robert Pattinson’s batarang to the one from the Lego games where Batman only had one and he throws it and it comes back like an actual boomerang
@@thestrong2401 he’s only been at it for two years so yeah of course. He’s still got the shock gloves and the grapple hook for fighting crime, but he’s mostly doing detective work so it doesn’t matter. The only thing I really want to see him use in the sequel is his cape to glide like a bat instead of the flight suit
The official BvS technical guide also outlined a few other batarang designs, implied to have been used by Batfleck earlier in his career. Their onscreen appearance would have been a few fleeting moments in the batcave, but I saw them.
Ben Affleck has multiple versions of the batarang. You can see him use the batarang in the Warehouse fight scene in Batman v Superman, in behind the scenes you see two versions, and in Justice League he has an explosive one.
It makes sense the 2022 Batman's batarang is used more like a tactical knife than a projectile, it's too big and heavy to be used as a throwing weapon, it doubles as extra armor since he stores it on his chest, and it would be inconvenient to make a bunch of them only for Batman to accidentally miss the criminal and then have to look all over the grimy street so he wastes less money on making replacements that will also eventually be lost like nerf darts in an unkempt lawn.
My problem with modern baterangs (spelled with an E as that's how it was first spelled & how I think it should be spelled) is that 90% of them aren't shaped like boomerangs. They're just the logo on his chest shaped into a hunk of metal, so rather than a boomerang, it's more like a shuriken or throwing star.

Batflecks equipment might be my favorite among the batmen. And he somehow comes out on top as my favorite Batman. Pattinson was good, just a level below Bale in my book.
