Secrets of Secrets of the Motorway - The Documentary 

Have a wonderful day everyone. This is sort of a Christmas special but I wanted it to be watchable in June so.. there's no mention of Christmas. Interesting take on your series. Btw, you can get teleprompter apps for tablet computers and camera stand mounts for tablets, if you think that might help with your lines.

I always enjoy when Content Creators give viewers a "peak behind the curtain" and shows how much hard work actually goes into these. Way more than just drive to a location and film. But the result is a wonderfully unique channel that I'm glad the almighty Algorithm introduced me to.

The mileage, the hidden costs, the travelling, research.. the hours and hours of time. So, I've not read any of the other comments here but I'm sure this has been said already, but Thankyou Jon! Excellent video, Jon. Absolutely love the series of the motoways/service stations...and yes, in a nerdy way, find them fascinationg. Being a lorry driver, not so much the service stations as the majority are complete sh*tholes (literally) . But yes, 10/10 on your content. (Kudos as well, to your camera lady...the patience of a saint).

Oh, this was really interesting, thank you. Went down the Pathetic Motorways rabbit hole a few years ago, and was always intrigued by gist slip roads, so this series just absolutely hit the spot. Always suspected there was a lot of footwork getting to those motorway side locations. Stunned you get those amazing drone shots from the little DJI. Brilliant series. @Auto Shenanigans your edits are pretty good, content excellent, video length spot on. You clip to a different angle, location or subject way before boredom could even think about arriving!!

Any old bugger could make these, that said, we are glad it's you,because I doubt many other people could have had me watch 1 15 minutes video about motorways, let alone 1 per motorway!

Absolutely love the way you produced and edited this 'fly on the wall' documentary. Having the interviewer off camera and talking naturally to you throughout your day, brilliant! I was surprised to see that the documentary was based on the filming of my local motorway M27, which was also the first Auto Shenanigans video I ever watched.

What an unexpected little gem of a channel this is, taking what should be a really boring subject and turning it in to something fascinating, fun and infinitely watchable. Brilliant show, John! Pre-, filming, and post-production are the details that make or break a series. Describing your techniques in your own unique way are invaluable for the rest of us looking to reach your high-level of quality. This documentary is one of the best "how-to" I have seen presented; go for an YT award, mate! Thank you for being so indepth in this piece in how you create these marvelous videos. And thank you for sticking with the series; these are the same time/motivation challenges that I faced in past jobs involving TV and radio production. And your stuff is so much more watchable that the boring industry pieces I helped produce...cheers from America.

It’s great to get the inside story on all the effort you put into making your content, I imagined that the research into the history of the roads/ junctions and services/racetracks would be really time consuming, but the time and effort you have to make just to get the footage,let alone the time scripting and editing everything into what we your viewers do find really interesting videos was more surprising. Please keep making the content as it is interesting, informative and entertaining/funny

What made you choose roads as your subject of interest? I must admit I had no desire to learn about them until I stumbled across your channel. Now I'm a fully signed up member of the road-nerd fraternity which has obviously increased my social appeal at parties no end🙂 Keep up the good and often underappreciated work!
