If we prefer darkness better than nuclear shut them down; I prefer sufficient electricity and would vote for additional nuclear.

Really enjoy your videos. I would comment and argue that I think your position is a bit alarmist on the subject of nuclear power plants. Sure Chernobyl is an example of mismanagement and poor design and Fukushima is an example of how building in a seismically active area might be bad but I don’t make the correlation between nuclear weapons and nuclear power plants. After the 2021 grid debacle I think we might consider expanding the use of them. Interesting side note on Calvert, didn’t hear you mention it. Once the second largest city in Texas behind Galveston at that time. We’ve got friends down that way, always enjoy visiting that part of our beautiful state.

I've read about the shelf life of nuclear power plants, & it's far short of 50 yrs. There's no reason for an energy rich state to risk nuclear power production.

@secretsoftexas6872
@secretsoftexas6872 Год назад
Sorry to see you go. I wrestled with that comment, whether or to edit it out. That's what I get for editing at 3 am. My comments were intended as more of a question about long term stability of people than power plants. If events occurred to cause such a meltdown we would likely have even bigger problems to worry about.

@@secretsoftexas6872 Do not worry about possible unsubscriptions. You have every right to your views and though I don't necessarily agree with you about nuclear energy, I understood your genuine concerns about and it should be voiced to keep all of us honest about the good and bad about it and keep up the quality of control that others have forgotten and paid for it.

@@secretsoftexas6872 Don't worry about those overly sensitive people. It's a comment about nuclear power that has very valid points. We have seen nuclear disasters even in advanced countries before and there are a lot of potential factors at play. It's insane how many people nowadays can't even accept someone else's opinion on a subject. And when you do these videos it's impossible to avoid that. So good riddance to that guy.

Why are you so overly sensitive. I agree with his opinion, but I would respect it if I didn't. I know so many people who 'pretend' to value freedom of speech, but obviously don't apply those standards to someone they disagree with. His videos are pretty freaking far away from being political statements.
