Welcome to Episode 2! If you haven't heard, My video "Small World Railway" is officially Episode one in my new series "Secrets of The Island"! Expect a lot more from this in future and I hope you enjoy!
Now this was insane! I don't think I've seen a single Thomas fan project that has ever dived into why Fred is the way he is lazy and what not. Makes me look at Fred totally different from how I used to. Can't wait to see what happens next!
This was such a fascinating story from beginning to end. A great improvement in writing quality from the first, in my opinion. I loved getting to see more of Fred’s character be delved into and expanded upon. The whole scene with Fred suddenly speeding up and derailing without saying a word as Rusty pleaded for him to stop was oddly eerie, especially with that shot of Fred just smiling before we heard them come crashing down. And the idea that the original parts used to build him were probably so severely damaged to a point where he was likely beyond repair, only for Mr. Percival to essentially go ahead and rebuild Fred entirely out of the other parts? It really makes it feel like these are two completely different entities we’re dealing with here. Almost as if they’re two separate engines, hrm…? I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here. As well as hoping we’ll see some sort of conclusion or follow-up to this one. Great stuff, my man.
Original Fred died and Mr Percival used the parts that “rejected the concept of life” to, in a sense, repair original Fred, but now the repaired Fred (the one we see in the episode) is lazy by nature because of those parts. What lays under the tarp at the end of the episode are the damaged and replaced parts of Original Fred. Is that right? Ballpark??
Man. Just think how tragic Fred's backstory is. Becoming not willing to work as a result of being fixed with parts that refuse to work, "refusing the concept of life" so to speak.
That was great. And the fact that the narrow gauge railway is having much more serious problems compared to the funny background hyjinks of the NWR sets a clear tone.
I'm super super hyped for secrets of Island I think this will become a great series Which travels into the dark I believe that this series We'll be taken for a ride We will never forget
I love it. Solid story. I don't know if you except ideas but here's one. The ghost of the Scrapyard: After hearing a ghost story from Thomas, Sir Topham Hatt ask Oliver to pick a special train from the scrapyard. After showing up, Oliver being spoked by a mysterious engine from the shadows Chase him out. Asking sir Topham Hatt the history of the scrapyard. This could explain why the scrapyard exists, why the engines have the issues they have and maybe secretly introduce diesel 10 in the shadows. The episode can be right after the escape episode.
Loved the story! I appreciate the darker stories like this that aren't just horror like the narrow gauge audios. Also, Anyone else see Proteus at 11:58, or is it just me? lol, there way in the back, on the right
So Fred died and Mr. Percival made him come back to life? Looks like Peter Sam once again needs a new special funnel... Where did you find the tarps and workshop route from and how did you film the tunnel scenes?
I have a suggestion to help Rusty and Duncan 1 Find a priest 2 When needed call the Ghostbusters 3 FInd some guns and ammo at the old Military base on your line Oh and have the Fire service on stand by
Sorry, I’m not sure, as this says ‘no.2’, does it mean there’s a previous instalment, or is it a reference to Fred being the SKR’s second diesel engine?
