Mistakes happen (sometimes often) but tie dye's forgiving, there's always a fix. / crispycreations / crispymagic I use Procion MX dyes that I get from Dharma Trading Co.
This black hole tie dye is the first tie dye shirt I have ever seen that I actually WANT. Kudos to you, sir! Also, you strike me as a natural teacher. Awesome vid!!!

AMAZING ! I forgot how intricate you can make a kick ass shirt with pretty simple instructions! I'm gonna start Tie Dying again I think. I used to Tie Dye when I was 15. I just made a basic spiral rainbow, but now that I'm 21 and my passion is abstract art, this is the perfect place to start! Its crazy to see how much more you can do to create these easy amazing designs instead of a simple spiral which is still pretty kick ass when you take the rubber bands off to see the finished product. Thanks for inspiring me to get back into this specific type of art! you made my day! Thanks again!

Heya Crispy, I am so diggin your tie-dye tutorials. Very well done and easy to follow. Love the kitty cameo. Please do more. If you know how to do the tie-dye with three swirls/waves, I would appreciate a tutorial on that technique.
How do you dry it? I have see so many videos, I trust you know the best answer. I have a mostly white with splotches of tie dye... I don't want to bleed the color into the white... how is the best way to rinse, dry, and after care for it?

Seriously...He is gonna be dissapointed when he sees that it doesnt quite come out like this!=) We will do our best, my guess is we wind up with black and brown/puce. Inspiring the younger generation are ya? May as well make it a full on experience and play some Gratedul Dead, maybe make some brownies for the grown ups=)!
Well this is awesome. My wife has tie dyed many times before and now she got the kids into it, so I wanted to look into what designs and how to do them. This may be my very first tie dye attempt. Lol

So I know this is 5 years old but if you wouldn't mind my asking, what brand dyes do you use? What are the best ones to use? I haven't had the best luck with some of the store bought stuff. Especially the blacks. Also, do you use soda ash?
Was the shirt damp before you put the dye on or was it dry? Also what is your rinsing process? I tried to do this and my black dye bled all over and ruined the shirt.

I am Brazilian. I have little English and I have some doubts. What is the paint used to paint the shirt? What is the fabric of the shirt used?( I used the Google translator).
Man Crispy I’ve tried it twice and just can’t seem to get the crinkles close enough together and end up with a lot of white in my shirts. Love this design if I could just get it right.

This is truly beautiful! What brand of dye are you using? Do you use powder dye and mix it into a liquid, or do you buy it pre-mixed? If you do mix it, what ratio of dye to water do you recommend? Thanks!
That kitty needs to be tie dyed TOO, make him (Or her) MORE black AND then ALSO dye it to Mannyyyyyyy different rainbow colors! I'd pay to see that (j/k Y'all, haha)! :-) :-) Lmbo! :-P :-P
My shirts keep fading after the first wash . Do I wash in cold? Do I wash in hot? I followed all your directions for rinsing in the sink and has changed my life but then after the first wash in cold or even Hot my shirts fade 😭 do you have a video that explains this step? You are amazing! Thanks in advance!
Start with cold water, rotating the shirt so it all gets rinsed. Gradually get warmer until water is mostly clear coming off,, then give it a little hot. ^¿^
Oh my god your voice is so pleasant to listen to, and yes the shirt is amazing too but YOUR VOICE IS SO NICE! You should do ASMR with your tie dye...actually you kind of already do... You just keep doing you ;)
sorry, but what you do next after the 24 hours? i try it, but on my shirt, the black dosent keep into it, so i get a gray shirt with a cool patern. my patern dosent shine so bright like yours. how heavy is your shirt?
Do you happen to sell the shirts you make? Seems like a decent way to make some money on the side, and it wouldn't be incredibly hard to do it in semi large batches.

Did you use a special brand of dye or a special color black? Bc I found that my black faded and seems like a bluish grey now. Also, do you use soda ash to keep your colors staying so vibrant?
