This is easily one of my favorite vocaloid songs. It's morbid, it's dark, it's haunting, the visuals are nightmare inducing, and just when you think it cant get any more disturbing, you learn its based on a serial killer/pedophile's letter to the grieving parents of one of his victims and even includes the fucking letter read BACKWARDS at the end. Chilling. I feel awful for Gracie, may her soul find peace, fuck Albert Fish, but Secrets of Wysteria is legitimately art and so fascinating just because of how morbid it is. If you take anything from this, let it be a lesson. Don't trust just anyone. Monsters lurk among us.

I shouldn't have looked up the reversed version of this song. I am so sad for this girl. Warning to anyone who is interested in the reversed song: it is very disturbing and you may not want to look it up.

I was surprised to find that "phantasmagoria" and "Wysteria" were in fact *not* made up words for the purpose of the song. But actual words. "Wysteria" or, more commonly written, "Wisteria" is a form of plant. More specifically a type of climbing vines plant. Which is an interesting choice of plant to name drop in the song. "Phantasmagoria" however, is an even more interesting case. It's defined by the Oxford english dictionary as "A sequence of real or imaginary images like that seen in a dream". In which case, "phantasmagoria" would be a very fitting word to describe the music video itself, while also being a word fitting in with the theme of the lyrics to the song. These are some cool new words this video taught me, I'm glad I took the time to research. Though I'd share the knowledge to any other curious minds out there
