Please keep being yourself and shine your light brightly. You really are a spark of sunshine in a very crazy world. Yes, one can see the original castle in the front and they ingeniously integrated the new castle in the back of it looking like one castle. They also added a fresco painting in the back with all the princess symbols for picture taking. My favorite is the Moana tower with Polynesian art running up the tower. On paper it doesn't make sense to do but the imagineers pulled it off flawlessly. Good video as usual, keep up the good work!

Wow, ao beautiful how they designed all the princesses 👸 into the castle. I especially loved the column designs with all the characters and the metal flower design on the ceiling was my favourite. They didn’t tire down the old castle they re-painted it and built on top of the castle leaving the old one just upgraded

I remember they did a feature on Disney+ about the castles on "Behind the Attraction." At the top of the video you said that they tore the castle down and rebuilt it from the ground up. That's not accurate. They left the original and built the addition to come up from behind and "embrace" the original. (their words) If you look without being distracted by the incredibly tall tower additions, you can see the original is there almost completely.

Chris, They didn't tear down the old castle and start from scratch, they added on the nee castle to the old one. Also, Shanghai was the first castle to pay homage to multiple princesses in one castle which is why it's so big. HK didn't have the room to do that so they did the towers to do the same thing. HKDL is a man made island area, just like the airport is on, So the mountains were there first.

@@lifeandlovewithmaltese First, it was not a complete tear down because when they were doing this I followed the progress on blogs like MiceChat, etc., and you can easily find dozens of photos online during the progress. So you are working about that. Secondly, Chris often says in his videos to makes comments on things they may not have the facts right! Thirdly, fact are facts! When a popular social media person says something that is not true, even when it is an honest mistake, that should e corrected because then folks like you take it for the truth - when it isn’t! Finally no matter how nice and kind Chris and Amanda are (and they are!) I would think they do indeed want to get things correct or be told in a nice way when something isn’t - because if not they (or anyone) could lose credibility. In fact on of the Disneyland (Anaheim) vloggers I follow is very nice, I have met him - But he quite often gets his historical facts wrong to the point I can’t watch. Being someone who first went to Disneyland in 1959 (I was 2) and continues to go all my life, watch Disney World being built and going there, and followed all the other parks history, it is annoying when social media people just get it wrong when you can do 5 minutes of research to get the facts!

Doesn’t the Shanghai castle feature all the princesses and queens inside? I can’t remember. Love this look at a truly awesome castle. They did an awesome job rebuilding it. I think it compliments the park and makes things unique. It’s a shame you didn’t show Cinderella’s fairytale hall in Tokyo much this time because I really like that as part of what makes the Tokyo castle special. I’d be interested to have you, Amanda and Miles rate all the castles when you are done. I want to see what your favourite is and what you think of each of them once you’ve seen them all in person.

The Shanghai DL has the tallest castle of all if I could remember it right and you can really go inside and there are multiple levels inside.

Of course they purposefully left out one princess. The princess that Disney doesn't want you to thiik about and no one remembers. Most people don't even no she exists. Princess Eilonwy from the Disnery animated movie The Black Cauldron.

This castle is actually my LEAST favorite Disney park castle anywhere. I don't think it has a cohesive look or architectural style (like the others all do). While I am glad they made it much much bigger, I really dislike the mismatched styling.

what i'm curious about this castle and the one in shanghai is: are they going to keep including the new princesses as they come out? like Raya and presumably Asha from this year's Wish? they can't exactly build new spires or columns or redo those petals under the dome…i wonder if they made a futureproof plan for this

Hi I hope you guys are doing well and that everything is going well for you guys and I hope you guys have a happy weekend if you consider this the start of the weekend. I also hope you guys have a good time on your world 🌍 trip and that everything is going well for you guys on your world 🌍 trip. That's neat that it represents all 13 princesses. Reminds me when I took a Disney princess test personality test to see which Disney princess I would be original Disney princesses I got Mulan twice and when I did one for the recently added princesses I got Merida. When I ask someone why I got those two they said because if I was a princess I would be a warrior one. Which I guess is true cuz I would never want to be no damsel in distress.

This is the only castle with a mountain at the background of all the Disneylands which matches the image of Disneyland ident. The new castle is built on the base of the original Sleeping Beauty castle. They haven’t demolished the Sleeping Beauty castle and add things on top of it. You should watch the night show at this castle Momentous. Great projections and pyros with a nice story.
