Fantastic insight and advice. Especially about reading something and listening to the way the voice in your head is reading it to you. Incredibly helpful. Thank you.
Thanks Coach... this has always been something I always watch out for and it has given me more confidence to stick to my authentic accent and be confident with it. Tanks Coach 🙏🙏🙏
I was going through RU-vid then I found this..I love it so much I have been learning voice control in acting but truth be told you can actually control your voice with the right accent thank you❤️💕💙💗
Hi Coach! The problem I seem to have is that my natural accent is British but barely get cast because they believe I don’t have a Nigerian accent for their production. I was advised to introduce myself in my natural accent, then give my monologue in a Nigerian accent. Do you think this is ok to do?
I have no experience with acting I don't know where to start and no support as far as people saying you can do it. I'm 28 years old I've had a dream of acting for a long time can you help me get started any help would be appreciated
I'm 55 and I just started. I signed up with Central Casting in NYC 2 months ago. They took my photo and within 1 week I started getting availability inquiries. So far I did 3 background shoot days on Law & Order: Original, 1 day on Law & Order: SVU, & 1 day on FBI: Most Wanted. I was a lawyer, a cop, a diplomat, a gun convention attendee, and a court room gallery member. Just background. No talking. But it's a learning experience being on set. I plan to take acting classes now and then audition for some small speaking roles. I think you're never too old to start... if it's what you really want to do. And if we don't succeed, so what. At least we tried. Edit: I just noticed and clicked on your profile photo. My old eyes couldn't originally see how young you are. So now I'll add that you're also never too young to start. Good luck.
