Finally! An instructional video for using French wire where the camera is close enough that you can actually see the materials. Thank you!

Fire Mountain Gems Customer Service Oh yes please do. They work so well in tandem with the presenters and that quality seems to run throughout all your videos. I can't begin to describe how helpful it is, especially when most of the other sources on here don't even seem to realise that the detailed work being demonstrated needs to be viewable. :)

Awesome!! I have shared your comments with them. Thanks so much!! Have a super rest of your day! - Melissa :)

Thanks for this. I feel the look of this product is more professional than the wire gaurds or the crimp beads.

Excellent enlarged illustration between 1:50 and 2:08. Wish that idea goes viral on RU-vid.

Yes, finally a great vid. I needed to learn how to use clasp on one end so i can use a thicker silk through pearls. Everytime i use a thinner 4mm silk on pearls using the double strand method it always breaks. So using a thicker single strand silk I hope will be stronger. When you finish the last clasp, do you also come back through the last bead and double knot?? Thanks!

It's not necessary but it is suggested so the end is even more secure. Thanks for watching.

When would you choose Accu-guards over French wire or vice versa? I like that the wire completely covers the thread or bead wire - much more aesthetic.

Hi there. There's really no instruction on which to choose when. It's really a personal preference. Accu-guards and French wire are just a couple different types of products that cover your beading wire - presenting a more finished and professional look. When and which you use is really up to you! Great question!! Thanks for watching and happy creating.

Does the French wire come in different hole size ?
@FireMountainGems

Hi. It does come in different sizes. The hole sizes would be slightly smaller than the tube size. Here's a link: fmg.co/j98S6p

So is french wire basically wire guards?
@firemountaingemscustomerse7762
+Kitty Cat -- That's right! In fact French wire (aka bullion) came first and Accu-Guards are the newbies. We have lots of options for both: Accu-Guards -- bit.ly/1SCkNVU French Wire -- bit.ly/1PSwOrx ~Lexi

Can it be done without french wire
@FireMountainGems

Yes, the French wire is used to protect the thread from wearing or other abrasions caused by beads, but this project could still be done without the French wire.
