​@@venomv50991. You can only kill in section 2 during the obliteration route, but attacking them on the normal route just causes them to flee, likely to prevent weird cases where you go pacifist on some sections but genocidal on other sections for the full deltatraveler game

​@@dymaz6282what, they cant kill because its a neutral/normal route, not because they cant kill, and besides, they've spared the rest of the enemies in this fanmade hardmode section 2, so its very clear that there wasnt a genocide route

Andonuts, entering the battle, susie and noelle refuse to attack, but, ness obliterates dr. andonuts with much less struggle than eb:hh varik had. Paula, traumatized, runs away. After killing some more enemies, they reach the gray door, but theyre ambushed by an enraged paula and porky in his mech. Susie: "The hell are you doing!?" Porky: "ha ha! You kids REALLY messed up this timeline." "There were like, this lame blue guys group that ended up disappearing, almost everyone became way tougher than before." "And, after receiving some memo from an anonymous individual" "I know what to do now! I'll make sure Giygas' plan can be enacted!" Susie: "seriously!? And you're gonna let that happen, paula!?" Paula: "i... i dont want to, but... you're not like this, ness. You act so cold, as if you were a merciless bounty hunter. Why do you do this to me!?" "Give me a reason to trust you, you'll just go around, killing everyone, and... and..." Susie: "uhh, ness, are you okay? If you dont want to fight, we can just stop and talk to her, but..." (Battle starts.) (After the battle ends, the) Noelle: "paula! Are you okay? Oh god, i think i have a spell that can... can..." Susie: "shit, i cant feel any signs of life..." (Ness is seen crying, but you soon get control again, interacting with susie or noelle will give you dialogue saying "no problem here.", similar to how you can get this earthbound line when you interact with the air. Susie will not let you grab the clean pan from paula.) (You walk to the gray door, however...) Susie: "fuck off, you aren't invited." Noelle: "go away, you psychopath. Why..." Susie: "*sigh* there's no reasoning with these screwed up murderers." Susie: "but y'know what i'm thinkin?" (Susie and noelle pull out their weapons.) Susie: "you can either fuck off and face the consequences yourself, or else..." (Ness stands there) Susie: "stop pretending to cry. That shit won't work on us." (A battle against susie and noelle begins, but right as the battle begins, the screen goes black and you see some dialogue) "You felt something grabbing you!" "Ness collapsed!" "Ness lost the battle..." (Screen goes back to the overworld, with susie and noelle standing there.) Noelle, she hugs susie: "..." Susie: "i know, it sucks, this... i... dont know why everyone we meet keeps running around, killing monsters left and right." Susie: "it almost feels as if the same person is following us over and over again with a different human body." Noelle: "when... when we find kris... i dont want to stop trusting on them, i want to remember them as the friend i met, but i fear, if everyone's starting to act weird, then kris will be... be..." Susie: "look, kris will be alright, lets just avoid any human we find and if we can prevent THIS sort of thing from happening again, then..." Noelle: "i trust you susie, but, hm. Maybe we can try to guide the next human into being kind?" Susie: "well, it wouldnt hurt to try at least. i'm sure that ralsei would probably have an easier time doing that, if i'm being honest here."

I guess how it works is that we can't hear what THE vessel says but connected people aren't a problem

Only Ness is a silent protagonist in original Earthbound, though.

you say that I respond: Iceshock, just like in Deltarune :P Plus, Susie could still kill in theory. Just Ness "kills" will abort because he's actually using Level, not LV.

tbh, what I think happened in this timeline is, Gaster kills you to forcibly separate you from vessel, and then gives back the original soul while chunking your ass into a Door. Still killing the child, but giving them their last save.
