The Raspberry Pi is known for many things, but video chat really hasn't been one of them. The release of the more powerful Raspberry Pi 4, however, brings us one step closer to seamless video chatting reality! So in this video I'll guide you through the steps I took to get it working.

jitsi meet is opensource and web based, but you can also run your server. I wonder if it would run on the pi

Useful if you have to communicate with somebody in Malmo. I wouldn't go to Malmo, the armpit of Sweden.

Yep. Plus QRs have plenty of redundancy, so if you don't cover the whole thing, it's likely possible to recover it.

Joe M you can recover max 30% minimum 0% of lost data based on how big you make the QR code vs how big it needs to be to store your information.

How does it route your video call, where are the servers based, what data are they storing ?

It's operates using P2P, similarly to BitTorrent, so there's no Central servers

how tf your school is controlling your internet. Sounds like invasion of privacy and infringement of freedoms unless it's their internet

@@CCamTheRealest that makes sense. Personally I just use a VM to run stuff on my school/work devices or run it in bootloader mode (or swap storage in case of laptops) on official devices because they can track all of the device usage and get info of everything you're doing on the system so yeah.
