Just got one after catching a masked gang sniffing around my car on CCTV. Thanks for tips. I've moanded at the Mrs for blocking the drive with her 18 year old fiesta, but now I am actively encouraging her!
My Abarth is being delivered Tuesday, wasn't going to invest in any sort of stoplock myself. Then within a few days of joining a couple of owners groups and seeing several posts of cars being stolen I decided it was worth the expense as I'd never seen those kind of posts in any other owners group I've been in before. So the Disklok is on it's way, might be heavy but they ain't cutting that off outside my house or in work before someone notices.
They have learnt to drive with Disclocks on make sure the lock doesn't turn on the wheel as they'll just drive it far enough away from the scene and cut it off.
Another tip is pull out the relay for the fuel pump. No fuel to the engine means no driving the car off. Just had my Fiesta ST stolen and much like you I didn’t really think too much about it getting stolen because you think it won’t happen to you, and I just trusted the factory alarm etc would be enough
Mine got attempted to be stolen made a right mess of the lock but never got in. Went straight out and bought one of these and also put both my motorbike chains through the front and back alloys while also waiting for the new tracker immobilizer and alarm to be fitted I'll still be doing the routine every night from now on
Yeah guys, this weekend someone tried to steal my car, they weren't able to but just because I was lucky, if like me you have a special car please take some measures cause it can happen to you too.
The Stop lock Pro "elite" is made for trucks and full size SUV's with bigger steering wheels, the Stop lock pro is made for smaller Suv's and cars with regular size steering wheels, it will be more snug fit on the airbags. I am currently using the Stop lock "Pro" for my 2015 Kia Sorento in San Diego, CA I live close to the Mexico border where the young scumbag thieves bring your cars to crooked auto mechanics in Mexico to get a few thousand bucks so thee dirty mechanics they can tear it apart and sell the parts.
