Seriously guys? Hes doing his job why do you have to make it harder? You guys literally had your cameras beyond the boundary and came up telling him to mind his own business when he just asked a question. He also asked politely to not talk about his parents so you repeated that and then decided to instigate him further. As for his comment "i dont date fat and ugly" no doubt came from the way yall responded to his first question which any Civilian can ask another not just because he is a Securitas gaurd. If anything yall harrassed him and thats not ok.

You're not trying to raise awareness. You all are just being jackwagons. Otherwise when he asked: "What is this for?" You all could have easily said: "We're practicing our right to record in public." Instead you all said: "nun ya bidness" Wait, wait, wait, wait. So you all are claiming to be doing this to raise awareness, but when the chance arises to raise awareness... you don't? Are you... ? Like... how? How do you manage to screw that up? You weren't there to raise awareness. You were there to harass people actually doing jobs.

They wouldnt get away with this in Colorado. I work for securitas and know what we can and cannot do. He would get hit so fast with trespassing its not even funny and if he came back its an automatic felony trespass. California unfortunately sucks but if he tried acting this way somewhere else he would get his ass put in check real quick.

Gotta give this a rare fail on Auditors! I can’t believe you guys were acting that way. Educate the kid! He lost his parents and prob has depression and rough life, so why not engage and get to know him and help out?! This was a bad fail. No education given, just harassment and shit talk. Atleast most of the other audits are wins.

He shoulda went back in and called the Main Office on you guys and then from there you'll either be kicked out by the plant supervisor or arrested..and no that guy in the hard hat isnt his elder in the work place.. they only answer to the supervisor or the branch office. All he is there for is to give you a warning before you get yourself arrested

As an officer with Securitas AB suspicious activities such as testing security response and weak points, picture taking and unnecessary filming is possible terroristic behavior and is dealt with swiftly in most cases you would've been arrested.

Yeah no. I doubt you're actually a security officer. In any case these people were arrested would have been a massive false detainment lawsuit. You are private security, and can not enforce public laws, which mean you have no arrest power. Any restraints used on a non-aggressive person is immediately false imprisonment. It doesn't take a high school education to understand these laws. In 100% of all cases when you call PD they will laugh at your unexperience and leave.

In security the guards deal with all kinds of people all the time. Even if they act like morons you’re not supposed to give back the same energy. Protocol is to call your supervisor or post commander and even contact the police if necessary. You ask them a couple times to move and if they don’t comply then you call the police and let them handle it. Especially with the safety hazard they possess. But also, you’re never required to show proof or give your information to anyone but an officer or supervisor or state mandated official. The guy seems like he’s had a long day and has dealt with these people before. Inform them of the lines and when they cross them be sure to make the right calls.

Id be more interested in seeing first ammendment auditors go after the companies and not the guards. I get that the guards are the one you have the most interaction with. However, they are just a symptom of the problem. My expereince with Securitas was that guards are often picked up by the company and just thrown at the site. Supervisors provided absolutely no training. Everything I learned was from another guard at my level and I was lucky he had some experience with the company. I feel bad for the guards that have come on after the peak of Covid. The turnover rate has become absoltuely insane and new guards are now training other new guards. These companies also are not paying their guards very well. I have seen guards work well over 100 hours a week just to keep up with bills here in So-Cal. Working so much means they hardly have the time to go get better training on their own. If they do have the time they will be lucky if they can afford it.

Well, I have to say Securitas has stationed the right man for the job at The Port of Los Angeles, when it comes to dealing with the public he is all at sea.....I had 185 guards and patrol staff under my control and would have fired any one of them if they treated any member of the public like he treated you, they should be trained better before being let lose on the public.

I, at one time, worked for Securitas. 5 hours of usless videos but no mention of any laws reguarding the filming in public. What you folks are doing is new. Securitas only knows about company policy and will try to enforce it. No training what so ever in reguards to the Constitution. I have learned much by watching you auditors doing what you do..Keep up the good work. I will never be a boot licker again...... Allied Universal ( formally Allied Barton ) GS4 security, just to name a few are only looking for body's to fill the position. The security company's are always under bidding each one to get the contract, always looking for cheap help. Never mind that the new employee's may have to suffer a pay cut..

Musician's earplugs are from $12.00- $20.00-$64.00-$hundreds for custom molded. Get a free hearing test and then buy some good earplugs and ear muffs.
