In any case, if any laws were broken it was done by the "professional reject police force (the security misfits)" depicted in this video: harrasment (illegal??), calling names and shouting assorted profanities (in the UK surely illegal...right?), lying and not being educated trained in security matters (they clearly had no training or did have some LONG time ago)
she is breaking the law by harrassing him on public property, once she stepped off the private property she had no authority to tell him or forbid him anything, in fact he could lodge a complaint against her for interferring with his right to walk on the public path. Call the coppers!

It seems that some private security people get so accustomed to intimidating and bullying people, that when somebody actually stands up against them, they get really pissed off because their self-imposed "authority" is being challenged. The sad thing is that this kind of intimidation and bullying works on 99.9% of people, and they can toss them around with complete impunity, even when the law is in no way behind them. That's why they learn to be so cocky and authoritarian. They quickly learn that having an official-looking attire and acting in a seemingly official manner gives them respect from the public. And then they don't like it when someone challenges this faux "authority" of theirs.
I love it when Brits get into "cheeky" arguments. That was great. "You've asked me more than twice." "I've asked you four times". "Well, at least you can count". Ha !
He's really taking photographs to make sure that none of the crisps are mishandled and that they are treated in the humane way. (we have to take a stand against cruelty to crisps you know)

if Golden Wonder or any company for that matter doesnt want pictures taken of their properties then they should build high enough walls around the place. There us no law to stop any of us on public property taking pistures of any place. Oh and them guards are thick as fuck..

I am a security guard and also do a lot of filming in public. Those two don't have a clue what they are on about and could not chase a paper bag down the road. Heaven knows how they would go about a terrorist threat - would probably phone the police on their mobiles and set off an IED.
You've exposed a strategy to rob the place. Just get a decoy with a camera and all the security will devote their time getting hysterical with him while it's merry Christmas inside.
I think it's a bit deeper than that, just a way to find a weakness in the security. Two Security personnel, one large aggressive looking obese Grandad, and the dangerous one dressed as a female, very argumentative.
The company must be ashamed to admit to employing this woman as she is aggressive rude and a danger to the public and a lot of people will stop buying there crisps
This is THE classic RU-vid example of a company sending out their lowest value/usefulness/intelligence staff members on the vague chance that person taking photos might actually be a terrorist. A timeless classic.
The only right a security guard has is to remove you from said property, if that property is public they have zero authority, a security that doesnt own a badge does not have any rights other than to bear witness or intervene at their own risk if a violence breaks out i repeat the latter they do at their own risk. This women is a fraud and has clearly been hired for cheap labour, they do this at musical events too, always keep the no badge no authority when it comes to musical festivals. There is no law in the land that says you cannot record or take pictures in a public place, this extends to city centres, buildings the public have access too and anywhere there is CCTV cameras you are entitled to record, clearly alot of people mostly cunts like this security guard forget that.
They obviously have responsibilities on their companies grounds, they also have rights on those same grounds. They have the same rights and responsibilities as any other member of the public on public property. If her manager(s) sent her out to stop the photographing, then they are as culpable as she is for causing a disturbance (on the public highway?)
Bob herron:... you're not even telling 1/4 of the story (I suspect because your view of security is coloured by the idiot on this video, I also suspect because you're unaware of the other 3/4s) much depends on the public or private nature of the ground the photographer is on, eg, on an outdoor shopping mall, where walkways and shop premises are all on the same privately owned land, licensed security guards have full powers of arrest and detain, eviction of those acting anti-socially against the peace or in a suspicious manner. Even as far down as those who merely cycle through illegally when the area is pedestrian only. Even they may be stopped and it be insisted upon that they dismount and walk. Full powers.

I’d drive hundreds of miles to experience arguing with these two over photography, absolutely 😂 ! They have about half a brain cell between them, and that is being generous, 😂.
WHAT!? I thought it was only in the US that ignorant security guards (with an over inflated sense of self) concoct laws off the top of their heads in order to assert their "authority". Disappointed to see that my cousin's (UK) have to fight the same battles, lol! Keep up the good fight!
A private company can stop you from taking pictures on their property. But as long as you are on a public pathway you can take photo's of anything you like.
They can stop you under the laws of trespass by enforcing their right to eject you from their property, they cannot however force you to delete any photos you've already taken. The same applies to the police. Stick to common sense though and as you've already said, stay on public property and snap away! Have to admit though, this does sound like a Monty Python sketch!
Theres this law right and I been talking to some bloke right and he said you breaking the law because you not allowed to take photos right, but we don't know what that law is but because we said it exist you got to do what we say and besides we are wearing a uniform and we are getting £7.50 an hour so we take these things personally. I love it how there heads are almost exploding because they want to assert some kind of authority and it's just not working!
