No issues with the content of the video... But it does fall under the standard of "Sominex Film"... Zzzzzz. A wee bit monotoned. Sorry.

Sorry but this video would only apply to a rookie. I don’t know anyone who’s been doing security for years that would press their shirt and be shaved every single day. The more you learn about the industry and the longer you work, you learn to turn the robocop act off and be more relaxed. I know because when I first started I was like that now I’m laid back and let the little stuff go.

I agree with certain points you make. Respect for others shows you respect yourself and your abilities/skills. Being relaxed is good as it could help defuse otherwise tense and emotional outburst or situations. Whether you are armed or unarmed you should always have a confident appearance and yet calm demeanor as that is picked up by everybody you may encounter. Your safety, and your client's safety and their property should always be number one.

That's ok if you never see yourself as important, a security leader, captain, manager, branch manager, working important operations, government employee security and wanting the real salaries. A man dresses as he sees himself. I have been in it for many years - from 3rd shift at a coffin factory, and now a security trainer and leader for new operations in North America. It is what I saw myself doing and how I always was professional. Now I can help many officers rise up.

Sorry- 22 year Army Vet, county jail corrections, 1st year in security, and it ALWAYS matters; not just rookies. If you look like a s#it sandwich, you get regarded as a s#it sandwich; no matter how long you've been doing it. Otherwise you look like a "burnout".
