“Sedalia” by Fred Hoeptner (1960). Played by Will Perkins on a 1970 Baldwin R Grand piano in Idaho Falls, ID.
I found the sheet music to this piece while visiting the home of the late Bob Bradford in Oakhurst, CA. Bob was a founder of the Maple Leaf Club in Los Angeles and an acquaintance of Fred Hoeptner for many years.

Oh this is beautiful! Fred Hoeptner has a way of writing some fantastically haunting rags, and this is played wonderfully!

Thank you! This sounds like the original arrangement (I got it from Fred afew years after him composing it). I think he made a slight revision later on. And it IS dedicated to Joseph Lamb.

That’s correct! I learned this from a handwritten manuscript that Fred wrote out in the 60s.

Hey Will! Do you think you could post a video or two of yourself playing some of Wellstood's songs? 🙂 I have Carolina Shout and Snatches down, and am currently learning one of his arrangements of So In Love. I would really like to see someone else play some of his things though.😅
