Bottom line is this, whenever there is such upheaval within an organization, it is a direct reflection of the chief and their lack of effective leadership and relationship building ability.

No this just another day at a pd. I did 32 years as a cop and I swear they have more drama than 9th graders. Sad grown people just can’t do their Job for the public without these type politics.
That isn't the case where I live. We care for and respect our local Officers and they look out for us. I do live in a DARK RED State though so that must be a local thing where YOU live.

So the staff lied for the chief so they wouldn't get fired like the whistle blower. Then fire one officer for doing the same they all do. Investigate them all including the investigators

Law enforcement as a whole needs to be Restructured. Higher education requirements (A 2.0 GPA, well below the average, and 16 weeks of training is all you need to be a police officer in most states. The government has actually passed rulings that law enforcement can deny somebody for being to smart, the national average IQ score for police nationally was 21 to 22, the equivalent of a 104 IQ. Medical evaluation for Health and Steroid usage (steroids are known to increase irritability, anxiety and aggression and cause mood swings, with symptoms of paranoia and lack of emotion), psychological evaluations annually, and Term limited Civilian Oversight board.
Did blm give you those stats? In my state the avg cop has an associate or bachelors degree, and receive 7 months in the academy with an additional 3-4 months of training BEFORE they are on their own….every state is diferent bud, stop painting with the wide brush!
Well.. As someone who has often visited... Sedona is a really beautiful area! Never had any reason to deal with law enforcement.. Hope it all gets sorted out.. Did I mention, how beautiful the area is? ;)
In my Carrier in Law Enforcement in 2 states, it's never been any different. Massive Egos and Total Disrespect for fellow officers,staff,public it's just the way it is in Law Enforcement these days. I quit in 2000 due to feeling like I'm working for the crime boss and part of a gang. It seems to be a thousand times worse these days
Ive worked with 2 former Sedona PD Officers while in the employ of a State agency. Both had been fired from Sedona PD. One for DV, the other for Bad Conduct. That dept has issues. Its just the culture there.
We trust that our community police departments are being run with the upmost professionalism and integrity. Yet Sedona exemplifies an organization fraught with outlandish ineptitude, sophomoric management skills and totally incapable leadership all the way to the top. The people should demand accountability and immediately weed out the malcontents whose only goal is to receive significant compensatory benefits as a sort of golden parachute before resigning in lieu of termination thus being able to live off the public coffers while double dipping at another department. This all courtesy of police unions that protect the status quo.
This pettiness is inevitable in a system where every two bit town and county has its own Andy Griffith and Barney Fyfe police department…. There seems to be hundreds or perhaps thousands of FOUR STAR chiefs. What a joke.
The chief of police should never be chosen from the department they are hired to lead . I am tired of the cops treating the PD as a club instead of a place of employment. Never let the officer become comfortable in their position . Constant piss testing for drugs alcohol and steroids . Constant education, up or out policies, no degree , no stripes . Instant termination for not policing their cohorts , no turning a blind eye , and get rid of that damned " BLUE LINE "
The chief is crocked and demeaning to people in public as has been seen she is is aposition of power and is abusing it and is verbally demeaning to residents who have asked questions to her and her response was your lack of knowledge is insulting to her and she refuses to have conversation over simple matters .she needs looking into for sure but a big but here is that she is friends with her higher up as they have found her complaints to be null and void and many are the same so look into it .sadona city mayor you are failing your police men and women you should resign as well as the chief for neglegence to your city
Whole lot of DEI going on at that department. Most of the officers shown are little women. Imagine calling 911 for several subjects committing a home invasion and 3 or 4 little female officers show up. Pretty scary thought.
There is a reason why God had Apostle Paul include this verse in His Word but who takes it serious today? 1 Timothy 2:12 and I think it just as crazy that to do a search for this on line and its results gives you Mans interpretation and not God's Word from the KJV.
Not to stir the pot or anything but... Don't they have black folks in the Sedona police department? Usually in all of the other photo ops from different agencies usually they have one or two Black officers , Sergeant or chiefs .
When it comes to handling life and death situations, she is more likely to get people hurt I worked in a Para military structure for 18 yrs. I am a woman. I've watched a ruthlessness mainly come from the women in uniform. I always preferred working with the males. Men were easier to understand
