This song is not originally By リアムMAZE1981 but rather Tatsuro Yamashita. The original artist doesn't allow for their work to be on streaming services or YT which is why this song and his others are near impossible to find. I'm going to continue to keep this video here so people may see this message, but I suggest you take a look at the original along with the rest of his discography which may be found on Internet Archive! Frankly, リアムMAZE1981 stole the song, but allowing it to stay up on my channel will hopefully allow for more to discover his original works. (edited 2/12/24). I may try and upload some more of his original songs as well :)

Just a heads up リアムMAZE1981 didn't do anything to this song but just pitch up the original song. I was wondering where the song went and found the original trying to find it. The original song is Tatsuro Yamashita - Magic Ways.

i found the original song a couple months ago on spotify and when i went back to find it all I could find was the MAZE remix, no idea what happened but now the only thing available for play on the spotify page is the collaboration on pacific. not to throw shade at pacific i love the album, but i want something with consistent vocals

Meanwhile, his Wife (Mariya Takeuchi) keeps dropping a banger or 2 (old or new) every week on RU-vid. Not sure why Tatsuro has such a boomer take on streaming, but he sure is fighting a war he can’t win. I have his Ride on Time and For You LPs but not everyone wants to pay $40-$50 for an LP plus equipment to rip the music.

The original song is "Magic Ways", By Tatsuro Yamashita, from his "Big Wave" album. While yes, yamashita dislikes streaming services, that doesn't mean people like Maze can just steal and publish other artist's songs as theirs and profit from it. That's theft, and the average listener won't even care.

I'm also from the UK and it disappeared for me about 3 weeks ago. It still appears on my liked songs but can't listen to it. I downloaded the original and put it into my Spotify playlist. Glad I've found this version on RU-vid because I prefer it a little bit more. Thought it was taken off RU-vid as well.

ik im the odd ball here and that future funk in itself is a very iffy genre but what liam did for these songs I think was honestly plagarism considering there was no difference besides an up-pitch in the audio and monetizing it. I really does make other future funk artists look bad that try to remix it from the original

Yea I don’t like Riamu for his blatant rip offs, future funk is blurry and idk how to feel about it. As a whole, if you aren’t crediting the original artists I don’t like your customs to begin with but even then, sometimes “a new song” is just 2 shortened songs back to back and then slapped a new name and new drum track. That’s hardly a “new song.”

@@Solongsocialmedia this is a pitched-up version of Magic Ways by Tatsuro Yamashita that was uploaded to streaming services and passed off as a legitimate stand-alone song. リアムMAZE1981's entire catalog is slightly edited regurgitations of real city pop songs. Because these plagiarisms were on streaming services as his own music, リアムMAZE1981 received money from all streams. If I'm not mistaken, he also sold physical copies of these songs. He stole music from real city pop artists and profited from it, then claimed he didn't know any better.

He actually made money off of other peoples work and it makes me so angry especially bc city pop is already such a niche genre, it’s not like bro is stealing a penny from a billionaire musician. He’s taking their hard earned wages quite literally stealing it away for himself and people have the respect to like his music. The original is Magic Ways by Tatsuro Yamashita. This is a 1 for 1 copy and paste of the original song with a slight pitch shift to avoid copyright bot detection online. This is complete plagiarism and stolen art. City Pop is the genre this guy is copying, search it up and you’ll find plenty of great artists who aren’t stealing other’s works.

This ain’t the original song, the REAL original is Magic ways by Tatsuro Yamashita. I genuinely hate Riamu. He just steals art and calls it his and somehow gets away with it due to international laws on music and such. It’s ridiculous. He hasn’t changed the song, this isn’t a remix, this a new mix, this is just a pitch shifted version to dodge copyright bot detection more easily. If you support Riamu (リアム) stop. You’ll love the original artists way more since for one the songs don’t sound all slightly weird and distorted due to pitch shift, and two there’s plenty more actually good and original songs by these artists than Riamu could ever offer.

@@IwhowasdatXD960 he doesn’t hate them, he just doesn’t want his music on there. Magic ways is a particularly popular Tatsuro song, you can find it on RU-vid very easily though. The very least we can do is give credit to the pages that give credit to Tatsuro Yamashita, not the ones who try to take the credit and funds from him by listening to “their” music.
