If you charge $75/acre and can mow just under 10 acre's per hour, Assuming you have the customers and the contracts this mower would pay itself back in a week and a half. $750/hr*8hrs is $6,000 a day, 5 days a week, 30k a week. 120k a month! If the lawn mower came with the contracts I'd buy it faster than you could blink your eyes.
@captainslogstarshipenterpr9122
We run cylinder mowers that cost €40k, if Xmark were in Europe they would dominate the market. If there was a viable option to have a low cost wide area zeroturn we would buy them. Our only option is the Hustler 104.

@justinrainier4310
@justinrainier4310 5 лет назад
@lawnfarmer heavy in weight doesn't mean heavy duty. And it's not spread over 96". The bulk of that nearly 1-ton machine is going to fall on the rear wheels, with nearly all the rest on the tiny 2 front wheels which only swivel. The small anti-scalp wheels on the deck are not supporting much weight by comparison to the overall weight. This mower is a gimmick.

I own one. It stripes after a few weeks of the same pattern. Rear discharge decks don’t stripe like a side discharge, but when you are cutting large properties like 40 acres, you better be thinking of using a WAM mower such as this and not a little side discharge mower. On large properties stripes are not your goal. Anyway this mower is awesome and basically made my 72” mowers and 60” mowers immediately obsolete!!!

@ExmarkManufacturing
@ExmarkManufacturing 6 лет назад
Thanks for taking the time to look at our product and for your question. With Exmark decks, there’s typically no need to remove a deck to perform maintenance, in fact there’s very little maintenance associated with Exmark decks. What maintenance there is can simply be done by raising or removing the floorpan. Tension idler lubrication (1x/year) PTO shaft lubrication (3 places/50hrs) Gearbox oil change (after first 200hrs/400 thereafter) Clean debris from top of deck (as required) As far as under the deck, the only maintenance is blade maintenance for which we’d recommend a lift or the Exmark Jack. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us again or contact your local dealer.

A 36 inch gate means u CANT get anything through including tires without being 36 inch or LESS.. so why are u talking 48-60 inch cut? Why? What r u thinking? A batwing maybe? 12 inch x 2 = 24 plus tires = 34? U make no sense! 36 inch gate =36 inch inches period! So what r u talking about? U trying to fit something larger than than the Space to put it through?
@fixt100
@fixt100 6 лет назад
see how the sides fold up? making it not as wide? to fit on a smaller trailer than it normally would? same principle on a gate with a smaller mower just a smaller version of the same thing. shoot a single side with one of those fold up decks on a 30" wide stander would be fantastic.

@ExmarkManufacturing 6 лет назад
Great comment and for the most part that has been the case with RD Decks. However, we’ve been pleasantly surprised with its striping ability (this wasn’t something that we initially considered). This picture www.exmark.com/admin/ImageLibrary/ShowImage?uploadFileId=1172 is from an early demonstration of a prototype unit where we first started to discover, ‘hey this thing will stripe!’. If I remember correctly this was in standard rear-discharge mode, we’ve actually gotten better results when we install the mulch kit (included with the unit) and we’re continuing to investigate different blade and deck set-ups that enhance its ability to lay down a consistent stripe. My suggestion is if you have interest, set up a demo with your local dealer. If you think you may have an opportunity for something like this, you’re likely underestimating that opportunity. I guarantee your underestimating the value in operator, maintenance and fuel costs that you’ll save in the first year of operation, not to mention over the life of the machine. As always, if you have any questions, never hesitate to contact us, we’d love to hear from you!
@lawnfarmer
@lawnfarmer 6 лет назад
When you add the mulch kit it eliminates air blowing out the back of the deck which blows the grass the opposite direction of the stripe. So it probably will stripe decently with the mulch kit. Looks like a great machine either way.

72" Lazer Z $15,000. Add 24" and 3x the price. Doesn't make sense. Especially when I can buy a 60" pull behind Encore for $3,000 and get 10.5 ft (126" with overlap) passes with my 72" Z. And that's side discharge, not rear like the 96" which you can't deal with clippings very well if long grass. There's no double cutting to spread the clippings out.

@bellexcavation9862 6 лет назад
John Bennett well I own one of these and it immediately made both of my new 72” mowers running together useless and obsolete. I now tell my guys to just weed eat while I mow instead of them. It also makes my 60” mower obsolete because it fits in tighter ditches than the 60” does and mows the ditch and eliminates the weed eating. Awesome mower!!! Worth the money. I can mow easily $1500 a day worth of lawns and more when I don’t have to get off to weed eat. Pays for itself quick if you have the accounts to cut. Heck I’d own it anyway. New technology rear discharge and the ability to pop that deck a little while cutting eliminates clump rows and gives an excellent cut.

A tractor has it's place as does a zero turn. But a tractor is far from the best option in all conditions.
@4gauge10
@4gauge10 6 лет назад
Triple M If that's the case,lets see a Z-track with a front end loader and backhoe on it.How about a 48"tiller?,posthole digger or scraper box?. A tractor can be do everything a Z-track can though.I have a J.D.X-534 articulated and it will make a 9"inch circle and will run plows,cultivators,disk,front loader,snow blower etc.
@TripleMEquipmentServices
@TripleMEquipmentServices 6 лет назад
You apparently missed my comment about each of them having their place. Neither is a replacement for the other as they both do different things well. A zero turn will mow faster and do a nicer job then a lawn mower/tractor and a belly deck in most mowing situations. The only situation where a tractor could be faster is a wide area application where a 96" or even the 104" wide Hustler is still small in comparison to a pull behind grooming mower setup for a larger tractor that could be in the 15-22ft wide range. As far as attachments go I'd rather use a skid loader or mini ex over a tlb for digging, grading, running an auger, etc. If you have a small lawn mower/tractor with the loader, backhoe, 3pt attachments, etc then I can see why you find it to be the superior option to everything else on the market. With having a skid loader and a zero turn I haven't found the need yet for a tlb and various 3pt attachments to fill a void of tasks that a skid loader is unable to complete efficiently.
@4gauge10
@4gauge10 6 лет назад
Triple M Sorry,you missed my comment about one machine can do everything well,while the other one can only cut grass. Z-tracks cost alot more then tractors also,so why pay more money for less performance?. I can get a PTO powered 120"rear finishing deck for my J.D.diesel 754 series also articulated with a turn radius of about 6"inches. Speed wise,my X-754 diesel runs about as fast as any Z track will,cuts even better with ability to side-slope.You cannot slide-slope with a Z-track unless you want to go to the emergency room.Z-tracks are for people that like to be in with the"ME TOO"crowd,that's ok,but its not being too realistic.
@TripleMEquipmentServices

I read your reply yesterday and I thought about it and tried to see things from your perspective. After almost 24hrs I still can't see how a garden tractor can do everything well. They're to light and lack traction to dig well, the hydraulics for a loader or backhoe are slow and weak. I've used a Deere 2210 which is fairly comparable to your X754 and the loader on it was better then a shovel and wheelbarrow but far from the performance of an actual farm tractor with a loader or a skid loader. When it comes to mowing a garden tractor is sure a step up from your average lawn mower but still limited in maneuverability and speed. Turn around time at the end of a pass, even doing a 3pt turn will still be slower then a zero turn, mowing performance/speed is also slower on a garden tractor over a zero turn. As far as side slope, that depends on the operator. I've spent plenty of time on a conventional lawn mower and also various zero turns, if I can cut it with a conventional mower I've been able to cut it with a zero turn. I'm able to side slope the hill in my front yard with a zero turn just like I was able to with our last riding mower, at times it actually works better due to the wider foot print and weight balance. As far as price, a JD X700 series garden tractor isn't going to be much different then a zero turn of comparable size. By the time you put a $1k rear pto option on your X700 series and buy a rear finish mower you're into it for far more money then you would be for a zero turn, still lack the maneuverability, and won't have much of a time savings if any. Also a 25ish hp garden tractor pulling a pto driven 120" finish mower is going to need to go pretty slow to keep the blade speed up and the tractor from bogging, it definitely will not be able to cut at full speed. While a garden tractor with a small loader, backhoe, and belly deck might be handy for homeowner hank it's far from the best option for loader work, backhoe work, and mowing work. If it was the best at all of those things and the cheaper option, why wouldn't every landscape company, municipality, school district, etc have a fleet of garden tractors instead of zero turn or front mount mowers? It's not about being in the popular crowd, it's about performance. When you want to cut grass and be as efficient at it as possible a garden tractor isn't an option. Same for loader work or backhoe work, a 1,000lb garden tractor will not dig, push, lift, or carry all that much. When it comes to a job where digging, lifting, carrying, and pushing are the requirements no one is going to grab a garden tractor and loader or backhoe. They'll go get a skid steer, mini skid steer, or mini excavator and be done faster and be more efficient while doing a nicer job. For those who use their equipment on more then a homeowner level it's not about which piece of equipment (in this case a garden tractor) can do everything at a mediocre level, it's about being productive. Same way this 96" zero turn isn't marketed for a home owner like a garden tractor is. The target audience for commercial equipment weather it's a mower like in this video, a skid steer, a mini excavator, a front mount mower, farm tractor with a rear finish mower, etc is totally different then the person looking for an all wheel steer Jd X 700 series and a few attachments.
