With 517 feet of water frontage, this Fenton gem on the market offers year-round views unlike any other in all of Michigan.
The house on Lake Fenton at 2350 Crane Road is listed at $1,550,000 with Shelby Sepanak of Prime Real Estate and Associates.
This one-of-a-kind custom home surrounded by wetlands is MLive’s House of the Week. Homes across the state of various architectural styles and prices are showcased every Wednesday.
“You won’t find another home like this in Michigan,” Sepanak said. “You have to take a bridge to get to the house (over the wetlands) with ponds on each side. You hear the frogs and crickets sing throughout the day and night. Turtles and cranes live all around you, flying with their giant wingspans living among a natural oasis.”
Video produced by Cody Gearhart of Home Pro Real Estate Photography and provided by Shelby Scott of Prime Real Estate and Associates.

Whoever got the DEQ to let them build in a marsh like that definitely had some inside help.

Funny you mention that, the owner had to build that EXACT bridge TWICE! Because he built it without any permits the first time, so the city made him tear it down, get the permits, and rebuild it. So yah, I wouldn't be surprised if there were other things that were built without prior inspection/oversight.

The only things missing are solar panels and/or windmills and ceiling sprinklers in case of fire.

Not a chance, living next to wetlands means sink holes and quicksand not to mention the bugs surrounding that place in the summer and snakes

May flies are a serious issue there. Imagine a sandstorm but bugs instead of sand.

How well will this handle rising sea levels?

That must be just full of mosquitos and all sorts in the summer

With a lake breeze? Probably not worse than areas with more stagnant air.

In the marshlands or anywhere, near a body of water, especially in Michigan, mosquitoes are EVERYWHERE. We are surrounded by five great lakes and many others, along with rivers, creeks, etc. So yep! Mosquitoes, bugs, are part of our lives, unfortunately.

Well it's nice and serene, being surrounded by all the wildlife habitat, nature and all the beauty. And the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. With that said, I would love it for a temporary visit and not my full-time residence. I'm a Michigander and love my hometown and we love our outdoors. But God help us! The mosquitoes are notorious here! It's not possible to enjoy the outdoors, especially once the sunsets. Too many mosquitoes and bugs. 🙄 We get bitten, in daylight too, especially if we've had a lot of rain. And I hope they didn't take space from the wildlife that lives in the marsh. The greedy builders, will build anywhere, for money! I'm surprised that this marshland, isn't protected. They keep disappearing here.

This house must have a serious mosquito problem.

This house is terrible. Why do the clothes get more privacy than the person taking a pooh or bath. Ugh.
