Lesser Known WEST SIKKIM And Why You Must Visit It At Least Once.
Sikkim is one of the tiniest states of India, this small state is full of wonder and beauty. You can see the alpine meadows, colorful valleys, flowing rivers, chilly winds, turquoise lakes, vibrant monasteries, and a lot of lovely people.
This is how a typical SIkkim Itinerary looks like
Day 1: Fly to Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Gangtok
Days 2-3: Explore Gangtok and surroundings
Days 4-6: North Sikkim Tour: Visit Gurudongmar Lake, Lachen, Lachung
Day 6: Yumthang Valley and transfer back to Gangtok
Day 7: Transfer to Pelling
Days 8-9: Explore Pelling and surroundings
Day 10: Transfer to Bagdogra Airport and flight back home
But we decided to have a 20 days trip to Sikkim. While most of the Sikkim itineraries recommend 5 to 7 days, why did we plan a 20 day trip. Well let's find out :)
By the way in this series we'll not just talk about Sikkim tourist places or Sikkim trip budget but also about a lot of stories and unique places that we travelled during our trip.
In this episode we start our trip from Rinchenpong - a small peaceful town in WEST SIKKIM. We stay at a farmstay called Yangsum heritage farm, visit a fruit forest with an inspiring story (Azing's Model Farm), visit Asia's second highest suspension bridge SIngshore, and savour some traditional Sikkimese dishes.
The journey is going to be long and there's a lot more to share, so stay tuned :)
