For the action movie hero on here calling them "sheeps" and "punks" because they were running ... I guess forgot what happened yesterday in Illinois. They thought it was fireworks. They didn't run until it was bodies dropping by them. People are on edge and all it takes is one idiot to scream "they are shooting" Like someone who scream fire in a packed room. These people are not going to hesitate and risk of being another victim of a mass shooting. Its easy to judge when you are not there especially if you there with your kids. Run now and ask question later.

I think someone threw their own fireworks right behind others, and that caused the panic. Others likely mistook it for gunshots.

Me and my family left around 9:40 and since we were already In the car all we saw was people running and screaming in terror and I also saw someone very scared and all I could tell my mom was to go but everyone was in there car

it sounded like a Civil War battle was happening behind my apartment last night.

Its so bad everywhere now people are scared of every sound.. firework, car backfire, or just start running for no reason.. anything...hysteria! Some strange times we are in for sure.

That's why YOURE not there to shoot fireworks. You're there to WATCH them. Don't do them in the damn crowd! You're not the pyrotechnicians! It's not your show! I hope they find the person who did this. Edit: an additional perspective: This is the same community who has already been ravaged by an insane gunman at Pulse. You've got to understand the very real trauma that will continue to live with this community. Just because the shooting stopped doesn't mean the trauma does. In fact, the trauma is just beginning to set in deeper and deeper. Add the recent events around the nation including that very day and of course this is the response. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the response if something in the crowd was set off.

Let's use a little common sense in this story as some are not using common sense in the story somebody in the crowd thought that they heard something in the crowd that sounded like a gunfire now fireworks are not usually set off in the crowds

People panicked. But they have a right if they was watching the news all morning on the 4th they know why they panicked. Ppl are worried. The bullpoop needs to stop. The government keeps failing us.

My girlfriend and I left around 9:40 since the fireworks were being delayed, this must have happened right after we got to our car.

I am from Orlando outside of the city center. Lake Eola is right in downtown, it's a nice place. I don't get why people take small children to this. I am acombat veteran, I don't like those noises and all those people at once. People need to be careful these days.

So everyone was running because they heard a firework go off at a firework show.

I was there during that firework shows and I heard a kid say were the fireworks to big and I heard a a lot of thing I heard that a fight broke out and heard people thought it was some people say that some teens started running I remember my mom was gripping my shirt and My brother and my dad was holding my mom we were running fast and when we got to the hotel we looked and checked for a few hours and then we saw it on the news
