I don't leave this comment for Iohan, he's gone, I leave this for you. I want to say that this man's adventures and trials on earth haven't been in vain, or have been forgotten. He worked hard at having a decent outdoor life. He took the time to share his adventures with us. He'd have done just fine if he hadn't had medical issues that tormented him until he thought he just couldn't handle things any longer. Despair is temporary, it goes away with distraction, then desire and focus. I encourage all those going through trials to continue another day. Create something with your hands or learn something new. Never just give up. If you're watching this video, you must be a decent person. The world needs you and all the other decent types it can get, and keep! Maine says "Hello".
Works 2 months a year. Lives life 10 months a year. All these years I've been living wrong. A slave to stuff. It makes me sad. Now I don't work because I had a stroke. Now it feels too late. Please don't let it be too late for all of you! Shed your love of "stuff". Get out there, and live!!!
@@floater81floats37 He was suffering from insomnia. After a while you just get so fatigued you don't feel like you are alive anymore and the days become a struggle. When you are also forced to pause your travels and stay in lockdown that is also very hard for a freebird like Iohan. I don't think his lifestyle made him sad rather there was alot of 'unlucky circumstances' that made his health worse to the point he couldnt bear it anymore. If you would suffer from insomnia you would know, its like you feel the life force being zapped from you little by little. Its a horrible condition. On 19th of august it was a year since you left us. Rest in peace brother.
@@lightningshredder5605 In Bicycling magazine issue #5 2022 there is A 4 page story it is called DID ANYONE REALLY KNOW THE BIKE WANDERER. It sort of filled in the blanks of his earlier life as a child. I recommend it. You are correct his lifestyle and traveling was his source for joy. A place where he could get exactly what he needed. Pure exhaustion. Medicine for insomnia. I hope no one has to know what it feels like, but they could at least understand, he didn't give up easily just because he was sad, he saw the world.👍☮️ when everything you have is taken you can feel there is no point. I wish he found another answer. May he sleep in peace.
I am a 62year old fan. Love your ability to go off on a bike and get lost in the big world with no worries . Keep travelling my young man for as long and as far as you can
Hi Iohan! I'm really proud to hear my song in one of your videos! A lovely video as always! There's something with your videos that gives me hope about people and the world. You always capture something beautiful in you videos. Keep up the good work, stay safe and I really hope that you'll get supported enough to get around the whole world. CHEERS! Axl Ludwig

Hey!!!! At 25:26 you ran into John Z! He is pretty much the badass of badasses for backpacking. He holds the speed record of the Colorado Trail unsupported averaging 50 miles a day!!! Totally mind blowing to see the two most epic dudes on youtube in the same video. Awesome.
And John Z ran into Cam “Swami” Honan on the PCT. NOW THAT IS SOME CRAZY COINCIDENCES. 3 extreme adventure travelers whose paths crossed. Higher power stuff there.
After waiting for a new video since I first found your channel we finally get it... less than 24 hours before I set out on my first tour. I didn't think I'd have any free time today, but looks like I'll have to scrape together 70 minutes somewhere. Thank you so much. You're videos have been a great inspiration as I prepare to step into the unknown.
I love these videos so much! You do such a great job of keeping them realistic. No hype and no attempts at stretching the truth. Thanks so much for sharing these. Reminds me of the bike trips I've taken and how I need to get out and do another one soon.
Hi Iohan, you are the man dude! I can't tell you how much I have waited for this next episode. Just absolutely brilliant, you take us and show us some of the most beautiful places, its just a joy to watch. I have watched you previous episodes a number of times now and this one will be no different! Your film work is awesome, I'm loving every bit of your adventure. Keep going my friend...All the best. Nige.
Working on my bike, new handlebars new breaks and bar ends. Blackburn outpost rear rack with extra water bottle mounts. Getting ready for my next ride.
I just cannot stop watching the awesome footage you've produced over the past years! The quality is excellent and the pace is just right, love the humor as well :-)

Sometimes we have to go back-a-way to go forwards; sometimes its down hill all the way, other times its like pushing an elephant uphill. Every moment of life is a step on this journey. Sometimes you are like an express train in slow motion, sometimes a fish in the flow of a stream. How you manage to get good photo footage while surviving the harshest weather and worst road conditions, I shall never know. Loving all your encounters, 4- and 2- legged. Thumbs up up up my friend.
lohan, you are such an inspiration....each episode and video are amazing. Thanks for sharing and "taking us along" on such wonderful and beautiful adventures :^)

Mindblowing tours. I have watched the series. without doubt the best touring series ever! Such a nice decent human being at one with nature. Really inspirational Iohan. Thank you!
You should get someone to edit in a break where an animation follows your progress on a map! Like evey 15 mins..? Its just hard to visualize the true distance your traveling.
Glad to see you still going on more unbelievable trips. Saw your Alaska video and that got me hooked on bike traveling. Did a couple small bike trips last summers and looking forward to more this summer. It as absolutely amazing. Cheers!
From watching every episode I think this one was the most epic and in these mountains you could realy find RAW WILDERNESS, peace and freedom-Cheers Iohan-I love nature myself also

Hello Iohan!! If the human race is a cancer upon this giant space rock then you are one of the few individual cells still living in harmony with its host. Your curious approach to nature, animals and people is truly inspiring! And you've totally broadened my musical horizons, which brings me to my only question.. Would you know where I could download/purchase your friend Trish's song? 42:40 Trish - When I leave this town ( I love this song! ) May the wind always be at your back =)
Good morning Iohan, I love the wonderful content in your videos. In fact, they are the very best of all that I follow. I am now an oldtimer from Shropshire in the UK. I'm in awe of your adventurous spirit. If I believed in the hereafter, I would be doing exactly the same. Safe travels Iohan, I shall continue to follow.
