Hey Hey! Today's video is our results from our first week on the Carnivore Diet. Thank you so much for being here and for all of your sweet words of encouragement as well as helpful tips! If you missed our first video, I have linked the video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NqeCJqlG2yU.html I would also like to thank you all for your sweet words of encouragement as well as helpful tips from our video last week. Your comments really helped us get through the week!
Aspartame is the sweetner. My trick with those drink packets is to drink about a 1/4 of it, then put the packet and shake it. All fridge to freezer. I would freeze it partially and cut top of bottle off, then it was similar to old school baseball park snocones.
Thank you so much! It is definitely a mindset change we need to adapt too. Doesn't feel like we are missing out on things! Thank you so much for being here watching and supporting our journey. It helps so much!
Really refreshing to see more regular honest people trying carnivore. I heard you mention possible failure and I want to reassure you that there is no such thing as failure, there will just be times when life presents you with choices and when you’re not feeling good about a choice you made you will have more knowledge the next time you’re presented with that situation (hey you may make the same choice again, but maybe not again after that). Also I’m struggling to get to 100% carnivore because of other health and medication conflicts. But the more I get those essential amino acids and saturated fat from beef the better my health is doing. If I stray from carnivore it’s with minimal carbs and zero vegetable oil so I know I’m still doing well for myself. At this point I’m not focused on weight but on health and that focus makes it mentally very easy to not be tempted because I no longer think in terms of “I was bad” or “I feel guilty”.
wow you guys did such a great job ! headache and upset stomach is the worst! love that you guys have set goals for yourselves thats awesome cravings are the worst Ray is so right mindset is sooooo important
Hey Hey Becky! Thank you so much! I would not have thought to discuss mindset. I was so glad Ray brought that up! The week flew by for sure! Now, hoping we can keep on track! Appreciate you watching!
Thank you Andrea! Everyone says the more you need to lose the more comes off in the beginning. I am sure it will go back down to normal weeks of weight loss soon! Appreciate you kind and encouraging words!
The side effects when you change diet drastically are always the worst those first few days, I've had those effects when I've done the Daniel Fast. Glad everything subsided after a few days and you had great results in that first week!
Hi from Australia, I started 27th March, and have lost six kilograms, which is about 13-14 pounds. I had Chinese with friends one night and have had a few carbs. I’m also eating dairy and eggs, I am not going to be pedantic about my carnivorish diet, I mostly eat mostly meat. Have a look at Maria Emmerich’s channel and find all sorts of wonderful recipes to make being carnivorous a whole lot more enjoyable.
Congratulations on 13-14 lbs! That is amazing! I complete understand about the strictness piece. What I love most is how you can tailor the diet to whatever your needs or wants are and still be successful! Thank you for the channel recommendation; will definitely check Maria out! I really appreciate you being here and supporting our weight loss journey! Have a great weekend!
Hello, JT here. We are calling all Carnivores! I wanted to see if you two were interested in sharing your story for 1-2 minutes on a 24 hour live stream we are doing September 16th on the HomesteadHow RU-vid channel! We want to bring at least 1,000 carnivores together for this EPIC 24hr live stream! Please let me know if you are interested and I will make sure you get a link to join the live stream on September 16th! Have a great day! -JT
Amazing story! I definitely loved hearing your experience. It is these type of comments that are keeping us going! Appreciate you taking time to watch and support our weight loss journey! Have a great weekend!
What I've learned is that your pallet will change. Take some bacon with you for snacks. I have started eating 3 eggs in butter an hour before going to bed. I sleep so much better and don't have to get up and pee at 3 AM. My blood sugar is also lower. I lost 15 lbs. in my first month but I didn't have a lot of weight to loose to start with. The more you weigh the more you can loose. Don't be disappointed if your weight loss is slowing down. That just means that you are getting closer to you ideal weight. I was loosing too much weight so I upped my calories. Now I'm at the best weight for my lifting and building muscle. Taking small 20 min. walks after you eat will increase your N.E.A.T. (NON- EXERCISE ACTIVITY THERMOGENESIS). I would tell people to throw away the scales. I would buy a belt with holes in it that fits around your wast. You can monitor your progress by how many holes you move from. Scales just shows a loss of weight, not a loss of fat. Weight is a lot of things such as water mostly.
Hope everything works out for you. I've lost 65bs in 7 months on carnivore. Just remember that the first month or two can be a brutal adjustment time. I had diarrhea for 11 days. Best of luck to you all.
Congratulations on 65lb weight loss; that is amazing!!! We are in the brutal stage right now although some days are getting better than others but we will push through! Thank you so much for being here and supporting our weight loss journey! Have an awesome weekend!
Hey Melinda! It’s so nice that you have each other to keep you on track! Food cravings is hardest but now you have done the first week and the side effects have past I hope it is easier for you! You both are doing a great job 👏
HA! I know her name is Ally and she is crazy; especially in the mornings when she is packed full of energy...HA! Thank you so much for stopping by to watch! Hope you have a great week!
Being single this could ideal but with family There is a variety of foods that makes it difficult to stick to I know the age old question goes, how bad do you want it? But I'll keep trying
Congratulations!! I'm so happy for y'all! Those first 3 days were most likely detox from sugar, carbs, etc. Glad you are feeling better! I agree about meal prepping being vital for losing weight. Thanks so much for sharing and keep up the great work! 💖💖💪💪
Yes! Thank you, I agree we were detoxing or something and thankfully that is over for sure! Your kind words of encouragement mean so much! Have yourself a great week!
Yall are doing such an amazing job! The first week is always the hardest! Love how yall are doing it together and supporting each other! Cravings are no joke!
One thing I found out after a month. If you have a lot of fat to lose eating higher fat will cause worse bathroom issues. Once I cut my fat intake down a little the bathroom issues went away. I believe once at a lower body fat it will be necessary to increase fat intake again.
Thank you so much for being here watching and supporting this journey! We really appreciate the kind words of encouragement. They help so much when we get overwhelmed!
LOL @ Negative Ned....going to borrow that one. I think we got some bad information when it comes to what is allowed when curing meat. I was told if it is cured with sugar that is alright; there cannot be any additional sugars but at least we know now. I really appreciate you asking and helping us stay on track! Thank you for being here watching and the encouraging words! Have a great weekend!
Greetings and salutations! I thoroughly enjoyed your video and I am a new subscriber! I have been watching carnivore videos on RU-vid & the algorithm randomly popped your video up. I'm glad it did. I also have great news about my journey as well. My first 8 days I lost 13 lbs! I'm now currently on day 10 and I weigh myself every 8 days...... My carnivore journey is also combined with the OMAD. I eat everyday at 1:00 p.m. no stacking what's the weather in between. My diet consists of all meats, my seasonings are onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. I also eat all cheeses that do not contain carbs. This has been the easiest diet I've ever committed to! And the results are amazing! I will continue to like comment and share on your videos I come across!!! I wish you success and look forward to watching more of your videos 🖐️😁 I forgot to include my starting weight. My starting weight was 248lbs & I am currently 235lbs
I started April 1st. I’m down 7 pounds. It’s been pretty rough converting but now the energy increasing and the joint and back pain is decreasing. I can definitely see the inches decreasing.
You got this! You are doing a great job! I think we are still in the rough patch but we will get through it! Thank you so much for being here and supporting us!
The ham literally says cured with sugar... Otherwise keep up the good work. You will adapt to no/low carbs very soon, and you will then lose the cravings not long after. I have been carnivore/keto for 2 years now and I don't miss sugar at all. Cheers!
I think someone gave us bad advice and said if the meat is cured with it is ok because they are burned off in the curing process. Good to know the truth now, thank you! I really appreciate you being here and supporting us along the journey with your kind words! Have a wonderful week!
Hey Hey! Please let them hurry up and go somewhere. To be honest, they are much better. Somedays nothing and then other days I feel like Carmello Candy Bars are calling my name....HA!! Thank you so much for being here and watching! We really appreciate your support on our weight loss journey. Have an amazing weekend!
@@MelindasMessySink it's really odd I'm not having any cravings and I can only eat two meals a day I did snack on some pig rinds.. drink a lot of water, I'm looking forward to the ketosis the only thing I can't give up his coffee but I do drink heavy cream in it and it does have zero carb
@@MelindasMessySink miana migraine is a bad day LOL not just for myself but for other people in my pathway I love your videos God bless you my friend 💖
@@lynnecarroll9953 Thank you so much Lynne. I hope your migraine passes. Funny thing, I had my very first migraine this week. They are horrible and I am super sorry you go through that!
I will be sure to check out your channel and show you support as well. Probably a little too early to interview me as I am still learning but definitely interested in working together in the future. Thank you so much for being here and supporting us on this journey!
Hey Melinda! I don’t think I get those seasonings 😢 what’s wrong with Nathan’s hotdogs? Hahaha Ally in the background being all crazy 😂 mindset is so huge. If your mind isn’t where it needs to be, you can so easily fall off. Congratulations on your first week!! You guys did awesome!
Hey Hey Melissa! Ally was a psycho when we were filming..HA! She is always high energy in the mornings from sleeping all night. Redmond's Salts, I ordered online. I will send you the link. I don't think they sell it in the stores yet. Thanks girl for being here and showing support for this journey we are tackling. Appreciate you!
So glad to have found your channel! I'm starting BBBE June 2nd I only get once a month and a food budget of $150 so I'm learning everything I can before I begin. Thank You!
Wow, so happy for your progress. I'm glad that your headaches and stomach aches were only temporary. I'm always worried about the initial body reactions to a new diet. Are you only drinking water with electrolytes with this diet? And do you eat anything other than the meats shown?
Hey Hey! Yes, we are drink plain water and water with electrolytes. We are eating a variety of meats. However, we wanted to have some meat meal prepped just in case we got busy and didn't have time to make anything. This food is in the fridge ready to go! Thank you so much for being here and supporting our weight loss journey! We truly appreciate you!
Congratulations! Great way to stick with it!!! I wish my husband and I could do this but we can’t even manage keto so there’s no way 😫 keep up the great work!!
Hey Cheryl! To be honest, I never would have thought we could do this either. We are only a week in and in the middle of the rough parts but somehow we are forging through! Thank you for being here watching and supporting our journey. Much appreciated!
So far, we have tried the seasoning salt and the BBQ Seasoning and have enjoyed both of them. You will have to let me know about the Cherry and Hickory!
Thank you so much 😀. Appreciate you being here Melissa! I know I am behind on watching content and I will get caught up soon. This new way of eating has thrown me for a loop but things are starting to get back into a routine.
Thank you!! Looking back, the time went by quickly but during the headache phase I thought I was going to cave. I told Ray to weigh himself again because I just knew he was something wrong...HA!!
Thank you so much for your words of wisdom having already been down this road! Congratulation on your progress this time around! I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thank you for the simple great advise! Everyone fills your head with all of the stuff you can and cannot eat...etc. We really appreciate you stopping by and supporting us in this journey! Have a great week!
@@MelindasMessySink keep it super simple for 6 to 8 weeks, once your body is fat adapted and have cleaned out majority of toxins that’s been stored over the years, then maybe try one thing at the time to see how your body reacts, I have 20+ years experience with keto and carnivore, on myself and hundreds of clients,
@@MelindasMessySink you got this and so does Mr. Ray he didn’t look excited but I could tell he was. Can’t wait for the next check in 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I learned recently that some people will end up dumping lots of oxalates because of all the veggies we have eaten that have it. This can cause some not so fun side effects like kidney stones. If you see this happening adding lemon water or a small amount of low oxalate veggies back into your diet can help the body slowly release it. So many give up because of this and its just the body healing itself!
Thank you so much for letting me know! I had not heard this yet! I love that everyone is so supportive. I really appreciate you being here and helping us along the way! Have a great week!
@MelindasMessySink there are lots of videos on it if you are interested in learning more! I am one of the people that gets kidney stones because all I ate before was plant based! Just look up oxalate dumping! Thank you for having me along for the journey!
New subscriber here! You guys are going to do great! Lots of information out there, and you have to process the different opinions, but after a while you can figure out what works for you. I can’t wait to see your results in 1 month, and can you imagine where you’ll be in 1 year!
@@marlene7969 Yayyy! Thank you Marlene for joining our RU-vid Family. We are excited about where this diet is headed for sure! We appreciate you being here and your encouraging words!
HA! Right, when I was editing I saw her running around like crazy. Her name is Ally. Thanks so much for being here and supporting our journey! I hope you have an amazing week!
@@MelindasMessySink Your welcome. I have been doing intermittent fasting now for a year 16/8, now 22/2. I also fast 3 days straight a week. Eat 4 days. Usually high fiber greens, Protein, butter. If you are cutting carbs, the butter is the answer. People think they are going to pass away if they don’t eat. It’s really the complete opposite. We all build a fat layer on us, and it is not a good fat layer. It’s full of toxins as it represents the foods we have consumed. This is what will cause side effects when the body is finally snacking on the fat on the body. Carbs point your burning mechanism away from the fat we want to burn. So 25 carbs or less, intermittent fast as much as you can handle, butter to replace carbs but not much. Water with no sugar additives but maybe sea salt, hydration powder. Dr. Eric Berg is a great source to back up what I’m saying. Also Autophogy! Good luck my friends.
