Great review! We got ours a couple of weeks ago and we love it. Quick tip for you - I couldn't help noticing at 11 minutes 32 seconds the speeded up "starting to empty dust" message! We had this issue too, after we played around with the different voices in the Voice Pack to see what they sounded like on the robot. When we switched it back to English the voice was corrupted and some of the messages were speeded up, like ""starting to empty dust" and "returning to charge". We logged a ticket in the app for SwitchBot support and they applied a firmware update to our robot. All our English voice messages are now working correctly again. Not sure if they've fixed the cause of issue though, so I'm avoiding playing around with the voice pack again until they confirm the issue is permanently fixed. Another great video. I have a tiny apartment and a narrow area where ordinary robots just won't fit. This had me frustrated for some time - until this tiny thing showed up. Only thing I want to know before I buy a vacuum robot: *can I replace the battery myself?* I've owned a robot before and the battery died after three years. Getting a replacement battery was difficult but replacing it was super easy, just plug and play - and so the robot is still going strong. I won't buy any robot vacuum that I can't replace the battery myself.
Wait just a bit - I'm currently testing K10+ Pro version - almost the same, but bit better. Video should be out next week. But also, on the other hand, I'm using K10+ as daily vacuum with schedule to clean kitchen and dining room , each night.
Hi and thank you for your time, making these videos. Do you still have this cleaner? I see an integration in HA for Switchbot, i was wondering if the cleaner can be integrated. I have no products from this company and i am looking for a good option to be integrated with HA.
Thank you for the comment. I'm still using it and yes, you can get it in HA but only if HA has Matter enabled AND you also have SwitchBot HUB 2 or mini HUB with matter support. BUT also, it's very limiter - only one switch to send it out and return to dock. As far as I know, this is current limitation of Matter standard and will be improved in future. Besides that, I also have Roborock S5 (something something) - that one also connects nicely with HA natively and via Xaomi App and HACS component.
Just got one today, it's charging now so looking forward to seeing what you think. Hopefully nothing bad 😀 Ah homeassistant integration, yes I want that as well but let’s see what happens it sounds promising!
Hope you enjoy it! I've decided to keep both. This has been "permanently" located to clean kitchen dining room and one other room, with Roborock getting moved to other rooms when needed. If you do find something wrong with it - ping me. Really would love to hear what's your opinion and if you have any issues.
Great review and hopeful about adding Matter support so that I can use it with Home Assistant, but I will still miss calling out specific rooms to clean from Home Assistant. I've had my machine for a week and it works great, love the small size, but every once in a while I have issues where it can't connect to the base station. It goes back fine, but when it turns around to "plug" in it misses the alignment and gives up after a while, so it doesn't charge. Have you had this issue?
Thank you! Actually I did, only once, at temp position I had it first day. It was on direct sunlight. Even contacted SwitchBot because of this than in manual (I was bored so started reading) I've seen that they said to avoid any direct sunlight as it messes up homing (probably some IR light in base) - check if this is the case with you. But if it's dark, and you see this issue, than unfortunately, this may be a bug. Also check if there is glass or mirrors close to base, that can also mess it up.
