I lost my good friend on 7th July 2021. So painful was his death that when I first heard and listened to this song icouldn't control the tears and i just allowed the tears to just flow. I played it over and over. Yesterday was his 2nd posthumous birth date and i remembered this song. I kept playing it over and over and tears just filled my eyes. So touching!

😢I’m so sorry for your loss & heart pain.🙏 This year on March 12th, is the 25th deathaversary of my Beautiful eldest daughter, who left me at the young age of one day shy of being 16.5 years old. I’ve come to know how Blessed I was, for GOD taking her Instantly, before she could’ve even known what was happening, in a freak accident, where literal an inch or two, made the difference between life & death.My father had died of a rare virus a year earlier in March,& my Mom died right after the New Year ball dropped on 1998-My comment being that the year could only get Better from its start….until my daughter died just 2.5 months later. I was also Blessed with my Grandmother, who I’d talked with Very frequently about my Mom, her daughter, the Grandmother of my children-all the different dynamics, only to then add My daughter, her Great Granddaughter, my children’s Big Sis, to the frequent tears & laughs we shared. Some have actually asked how I could feel Blessed over the loss of my daughter, & it’s bc I’ve witnessed, & known the Hell of watching children slowly die, children who’ve met Horrific Nightmarish deaths through the hands of Pure Evil,& those parents & even siblings who’ve gone to Their graves, never Knowing what, where, ifs of their child who disappeared. Nobody can even Begin to know the Lifelong nightmares of those parents & family, including Me, who has just the one. I was also wise enough to know my Grief would be with me through my last breath on earth,& didn’t try to fit it in a tidy box of time I’ve seen so many do, even over elders who’ve died, & this by No uncertainty, means it doesn’t SUCK EVERY SINGLE DAY. I wake to Landis’ High School Senior picture, an event she never made it to in her life here,& her picture is the last thing I look at before turning my light out at night. This Christmas, the day that started the spiraling of Loss in my life, with my Mom getting sick, my youngest, now 36, had her Amazing fiancé open a gift I was told was for me(on FaceTime after they’d opened everything),but it had to stay there(they live in another state than me),& he held up a little reindeer pajama outfit!!! No doubt my Mom, Grandmother, & my daughter had a hand in GOD answering my longtime prayers, at a Very Hard milestone in my life!!! Good things Do happen, even to those silently living with holes in their hearts, but Nobody should Have to be silent bc of other people being uncomfortable at the mention of our Loved Ones’ names!!! Another thing GOD has Blessed me with-friends I can talk with!!! “Gone But Never Forgotten” is the lousiest unintentional lie put forth by people in the moment of death & funerals. Know that we who have no label, like Orphans do, aren’t looking for pity, attention, or Wise Words-We are only remembering our loved ones!!!🙏

Today my neighbour, buried his first born daughter who was 21 years old. She passed away in front of him from a massive heart attack on 24th December 2023 just before midnight. They were in their house telling stories about how she would cook for them. 😭😭😭 I tell you I have no strength to face him. Also Unfortunately saw the Paul Walker accident aftermath on our drive home from Thanksgiving with our Mom and Dad...He truly was a very gracious human being...He loved to surf up in Santa Barbara...He made very successful movies but he was a great humanitarian and conservationist... I remember hearing this song quite a while ago but I did not really listen to the lyrics. Today(3/20/21) I finally listened to this song. These lyrics are very profound and powerful for someone who has not seen a close friend for a long time. I can thinks of several of my friends for whom these words are very appropriate. Great sound with these lyrics. Charlie's other song, "One call away", is another song that relates to the same feeling or emotion as this song but in a different way.

I heard this perfect song right after it's release in late May, 2015. My son Christopher Ian Jones ,age 14 had just died May 5, 2015. He had a heart defect that was never discovered. He was running in the yard and collapsed. This song is what I play while thinking about him. He was a beautiful , smart and warm caring young man who never met a stranger. My mom passed away in 2016 and when she passed away this song was one of the songs I listen to. I miss her so much and when it says that "Why'd did you have to leave so soon? Why'd you have to go? Why'd you have to leave when I needed you the most? Cause I don't really know how to tell you without feeling much worse I know you're in a better place". And the sad part is she did leave when I needed her the most and that night I thought she was gonna come back home from the hospital but she didn't and I didn't even get to say I LOVE YOU or give her a hug to her one last time. But I think about her each and every day and yes we had our ups and downs but if I could go back I would redo everything. I would tell her I LOVE YOU and I would've gave her a hug. But now I know she's in a better place now and I'm happy that she is. LOVE YOU MOM♥️♥️♥️ CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN

Its been a long day without u sue... why did u have to leave so soon, when i need u the most sue olivia... i lost my bestie a few months ago ( 10/4/2019).. i really tears when i listen deeply this song.. she died bcouse of spinal cancer.. the day that i knew she couldn't hold it again, i took emercency leave n took the bus for 8 hours (8/04/2019) just to met her immediately.. lucky me, she still alive even paralyzed. i have been spending 5 hours with her ( 9/4/2019). I have talk so much that time n i know she understood what was i saying... & 6 am, 10/04/2019 she gone. Leave ne alone.. i will never forget the last smile on her face when she was in the coffin.. i know, she happy relieve leave all of burden.. R.I.P SUE OLIVIA SEER.. i wish r.i.p means, RETURN IF POSSIBLE.. i really miss u.. i wish u hadnt passed away.. our memories of yesterday will last a lifetime.. tq sue, THANK YOU for everything...

My grandfathers sister passed away last year although I didn’t see her often in the past whenever i visited her house she always reminded me to tie up my hair!! I still remember those good times… before she started to get weak and she even forgot who I was…! But I didn’t give up on her I still reminded her my name over and over but on that one fine day… I was at a hotel with my parents about to go swimming when my mother told me the news I was shocked to the core and I couldn’t say anything my heart broke but I couldn’t cry for her I will always regret being unable to spend enough time with her… I miss you!… and thus I dedicate this song to her!❤ I hope to see you one day grandaunt 💕💗

I lost my first son back in 2015, it was so hard to say goodbye, I was always there for him when he spent his first year in hospital because of a brain tumor, I held his hand for the first year all the way through till I had to say good bye, the tumor got bigger and bigger, the doctors could not complete surgery as it was too risky and would not pull through, I could not let my beloved boy suffer anymore, probably did not know who I was, the last day he opened his eyes for the very first time, looked at me and then let go of my hand, I'm sure that was his way of saying goodbye daddy, see you on the other side.. This song was playing by mistake at the hospital, I told the doctors not to turn this off and its always been a memory of my Sebastian.. I miss you very much my boy, daddy loves you very much and will always hold you in my heart.

My good mate Stephen passed away unexpectedly 2-1/2 years ago from a brain aneurysm at the age of 56 the day before his 35th anniversary. Just a few days before he had happily told us he was retiring in 5 months time. So sad for him and his wife. He was a massive music fan with an entire room full of vinyl records. I can’t ever hear this song and not think of him. Will see you again, big fella.
