We often plant winter wheat in early February along the Wicklow coast on dry land. One year we got half a 80 acre field less the headlands in October after spuds and the rest in February and we could see no difference in yield of grain just less straw. As long as you get a few cold days after emerging it will be fine and no autumn aphid spray needed.

Yea, it depends on your ground. Our ground is just too wet at the minute. Look if it dries up we can get seed back. But I’m not holding my breath

Ive driven one with a similar grill, it seems strange and irritating at first but you quickly get used to it

No I ment by end of the feeding year. April 24. Probably wasn’t clear on that. I class the feeding year from September/Oct 23 - April 24
