Bubble wrap - I made a splint for my broken wrist using some bubble wrap and card board! Long story - but it worked! And x ray shows perfect healing PTL I don’t need surgery!
For some reason every cast has made my arm swell 3x bigger ( even at 4 weeks post break !)- my blood pressure is fine and normal - maybe I have shallow veins - and circulation is being restricted? Maybe I have a rebellious arm !😲😂- idk but gauging , bubble wrap with card board splint worked perfectly with no circulation problems - bubble wrap is an asset!
I have used clear plastic food containers like the shape and depth of pencil boxes. But not multi-layers. Such a great idea. Robbie, you are so creative 👍
Thanks! I'm trying to cut down on single use plastics, like 'baggies' so this tip is both timely & terrific! Lovely outfit today as well! We really appreciate your videos 😍🍀
Great idea Robbie . Also you can use the the sandwich deli meat containers that have lids . Im just like you , i try to reuse snd not buy . Thanks for sharing all your neat garden ideas . Have a blessed day .
I use the leftover plastic containers that mushrooms from the grocery store come in. I use a soldering iron to melt a few holes in the bottom for drainage. If I need to cover them plastic wrap works fine or I can use a clear tote lid to cover several at a time if necessary. We all recycle/throw out a lot of plastic so might as well re-purpose it for something useful. 👍😎
You gave me a great idea! Thank you! I have some oblong rubbermaid containers that stack and I think they will work for this. Your necklace is beautiful!
I heard you mention to put seed starter trays on top of the fridge? for warmth. I was actually thinking about that a few weeks ago, instead of buying a heat mat. My room temp. is 75 and the top of the fridge was 78 degrees, ideal for starters.
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy I sent my DIL this video link. She waited for seeds to sprout that never did and lost valuable pre-season seed starting time. 😍
Oh you are so right it just looks so nice. I can have a stack of different seeds going and it just worked perfect and holds the right dampness in for those seeds. Thanks so much have a wonderful weekend and happy gardening. ❤️😊🌱
I use take out boxes and I use the plastic storage food containers in the multipacks - different sizes and different colors for lettuce herbs etc. I also start them on the paper towel and a spray bottle 😊
Great idea. Would be great for storing seed packets too! Flower packets in one, veg in another...or, Tomatoes in one, cukes in another, etc....cheaper than the photo cases that all the rage...😁
Yes, just that the photo case does keep it all handy in one spot. I have 2 of those cases, but I use one for sewing supplies, and the other for card games. Its nice to have it all contained.
I love how well you recycle!!! What wonderful ideas!!! Now I have a new use for old container lids instead dumping in the recycle bin and I SAVE MONEY!!!!
Robbie, you are AMAZING!!! I'm heading to town in a little while to see if I can find some of these. Thank you so much for everything you do to help us be successful gardeners.
Thanks for this tip Robbie, I sowed 3 types of chilli seeds 5 days ago and they have sprouted! Now I just have to pot them up when a little bigger! Thanks again
That is a great idea 💡 I planted tomatoes a few days ago and made a video. I have over 50 types of seeds to plant and I will try your method. Thanks for sharing and have a great day and happy gardening 🌿🌱😊🤗🥰
Nice. And thank you so much for sharing where you buy your tomato stakes! You are my gardening angel. I was able to buy 20 sets of the large stakes, and can use my leftover irrigation tubing to make the stuff you do. Now if I could just have better luck growing in a place like Death Valley. 😭😭😭
@@marthahaber7772 It was in one of her recent vieos. But they sell a nice set of 2 tomato stakes for $1.29 at the 99 Only stores in the beginning of the year. She said they sell out fast, so get them while you can!
So you grow this indoors and when they sprout if you transplant them outside, wouldnt they get a big shock and die? unless the outside temps are at least 60-70 degrees. I live in Zone 5.
Go for it! The Dixie cups work perfect for when you have issues with certain plants that don’t like to be changed. This way the plants don’t even know that they got put in a new place and they get direct water, perfect, Thanks.😊❤️
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy I needed this I suck at transplanting AND Im going to do your other triick burying them part way in soil inside a container. Im going to start all my flower seeds like that! 😎🐥🐓🌞💖
I put your videos on loop! I am going to try this method. I've tried the bag method. I've got to worry about mold. sometimes the seed molds before it germinates and it contaminates the others, so I am hesitant to have an open container like this but it can't hurt to try once. I bought a lot of expensive seeds where I only get like 10 seeds, So I have NONE to spare. I want to start them all because I am late, but I don't want to risk it so I want to start the tomatoes inside. I will put two out of ten of each tomato seed, and wait for germination and then start two more for back up. For Labels, I'm going to use plastic blinds. My neighbors cat destroyed the blinds so I took it apart and I have a bunch of plastic strips that make good plant labels.
I absolutely LOVE your channel Robbie!! This is such a clever idea. I'm assuming one can do this also for flower seeds too. Question for you...what was the mesh cover you lifted off your plants? It looked homemade? Not sure. Would love if you shared how you made it. Thanks dear😍
EASY DIY COVER How To Grow & Protect Lettuce & Vegetables, Container Gardening, Buckets, Flower Pots ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0YRMuNk_AQc.html I have many different videos on making covers for my plants, and yes on the flower seeds which I also do, thanks so much
Great idea! I lost a bunch of seeds as they got stuck between paper towels which like fused together. 😢 I might try this minus the paper towels. I sprouted several plants by soaking in water medicine bottles a few days, changing water, or going dry just depending on the vibe I got. Worked amazing.
I cant wait to get my pencil box to start my seeds wow!!! I have started collard tree seeds and two seedlings are growing like crazy in the covered container on top of fridge but I am scared if I move them into a different pot I will loose them they are in cocoa core starting medium shall I just leave them?
Robbie, would it be possible to sprout seeds in water in a small jar and then plant them in soil, kind of like sprouts for eating, but then plant them.
An update: My seeds ARE growing, however they are embedding into the paper towels? Could it be the type of paper towels or will they eventually separate from it?
