Nice to see a Bermuda seed project. Too bad you couldn’t get the peat to spread. Hopefully the customer can keep the yard watered properly. Will be interesting to see a follow up after a month or two.
The WTFO setting works for Profile Seed Starter Mulch. It’s a larger prill or pellet than fertilizer but semi round. Pennmulch is NFG thru the Triumph though. I almost never use straw mulch anymore. That Profile mulch is pretty nice stuff. Some of the prills swell up so big they look like golf ball sized hail when you have your moisture right
I just seeded Monaco yesterday. How concerned are you about seed coverage? I ran the dethatcher over mine, spead the seed then rolled it in with a lawn roller. There are still seeds laying on top.
@@PaulsPrimeCuts I'm going to be using artificial rain until next Sunday. Like you said the lack of rain is the downside to bermuda and there is none in the forecast in SE Missouri.
paul...any tips for overseeding a bermuda yard? im overseeding with arden15 over my current bermuda to be cutting down low. I also picked up some blackjack bermuda to see if it has increased shade tolerance under my oak tree. ive been mowing at about a half inch on my current bermuda and hit it with Tnex to slow its growth. Next step is the overseed i think. unless ive missed something important.
Southern seeds is a bunch of great guys I just planted this blend from southern seeds as well it’s coming in pretty good, love you videos I’m in Clayton NC so I follow your videos steps by step. Lol good stuff
Laugh, laugh and know that the alpha grass will dominate. Really, you're almost always going to have competing weeds on a newly seeded lawn. No way to get 100% kill of every single weed, you just do the best that you can. Expect that it would be relatively weed free this time next year, because you're going to have to let it grow in this season, and if PPC is on his game for the PreM come Fall, it'll be off to a great start next year.
If it’s a finer texture it may have been sodded ... Monaco or Arden will match ... this will probably match up fine as well if you are going to be mowing at 2 inches or higher. You could also put out hybrid Bermudagrass plugs
@@PaulsPrimeCuts thanks Paul! It was definitely sod and I'm mowing as low as I can with my zero turn. I'll look into those varieties you mentioned. Really appreciate your answer!
They call that pice of crap JR for a reason... the permagreen is it’s daddy 😂 seriously though the permagreen is a simple durable design with an easy to use and very effective spray system that changes rate with speed so it’s always accurate
Let’s hope this will 😁 I think 14 to 21 days is pretty normal. I have used a coated common Bermuda seed that was up in a week so we will see on this one!
No Ventrac? Aerating aggressively first wouldnt have hurt. PPC~Homeowner looks like he could afford laying bermuda sod down at least in front. Would have been easy yard to sod. Life is short!!! Why make him wait so long before he has a yard to brag about ?
How would aerating aggressively helped? That seed needs only to be cover by about 1/8th inch of soil. Which the peat moss did. Paul did the job right like normal.
