You know your early bird audience too well, posting these videos so we can sip our morning coffee and look at flowers. 🎉😊

We have had a lot of small, native asters popping up here and there this fall. I think that a more intentional planting of more of them should be on my agenda for next year. They are so pretty. That meadow garden out back is going to be amazing.

Summer I like your style, the more I watch these videos; the more the logic for landscaping makes sense to me.

I love landscape plugs. They are so easy to plant and cost effective. Definitely have to check on them in case they've been pulled by an animal. We had some Viola pedata come up on their own in one garden and I was so happy! Native plants are so low maintenance.

Ifs it’s just a few plugs, I set stones close by. Seems to keep some of the critters from digging them up.

Love the Flock episodes. I am learning so much! Please share resources on where to purchase native plant plugs for residential use. Plant sales are great, but it can be expensive when you want a large number of plants.

Enjoyed the video...I'm always looking for garden design suggestions and plant options.

Sky blue asters are so cool. I think they got choked out by goldenrod in the garden I planted [by seed] with my late mother, but there were a few seasons where they just exploded and it was beautiful. I also think they may have hybridized with the other asters ... now there's sort of a generic blue-purple aster that seems to predominate.

Love these videos! I think that aster was actually a symphyotrichum cordifolium. Great aster for that garden.

Know that winter is fast approaching, have you considered planting any red or yellow twig dogwoods? Something to give the garden some bright winter color?

Nice to see you planted the Salvia Lyrata. I love the red colors in the leaves. It is crazy aggressive but in your gardens it should be great. Thanks for your post.

The beds look lovely, nice plant selections will be wonderful pollinator habitat. Hope the violet seeds germinate I've had trouble with mail order Violas. Tricky they need light so spreading on surface with sand a good idea. Violets (and fritillary butterflies) need our help should be planted more often.

Hi, Summer!!!! These videos captivate me. I have purchased a large quantity of native plant seeds from the Brandywine Conservancy in Pa. and most of them are plants you’ve featured. I’d love to know how you are watering the pollinator gardens you’ve featured in this video. Thanks💜

I love and learn so much from your channel. I live in California and I have tried so hard to find plugs and I cannot locate any. Can you toss out a few companies that might mail order to California plugs?

Summer, what is the reddish coloured foliage to the right at 28:45? Stunning! Also, what is the name of the red dianthus at 31:05 ? Another beauty!

I have no idea where you find all these amazing specialty plants. I’m down in DMV and can’t even find a plug nursery and with a sedge costing $20/$25 a pop at the local nursery, there’s no way to plant this dynamic and lush a garden.

2:55 that is not how nitrogen fixing works. You fundamentaly misunderstood the concept. If you want that nitrogen fixers work, you need to cut them and leave it there leaves and roots….

Your roses will be eaten to death by the deer if not protected. Ask me how I know. Roses are very nutritious for wildlife and hard to get established because of the browse pressure. Good luck.
