Patrick I started using clips like yours on my setup , work good, I like to slack them a little, when people ask me why I use these clips I tell them to help hold tension on the line - but if I am honest, I use them because you guys use them, and they seem to work well. Is there another reason for using them?
Yeah they are bite indicators essentially. I run a tight line alot and they let me know if it gets slacked up or if one is pulling but not hard it will start going up beside the pole and i know there is a fish eating the bait and set the hook. If you look in some of the videos i set the hook and it looks like the pole never moves. That’s because in watching that clip work.
