Great to see two Irishmen 🇮🇪 represented Bram Stoker 1.31 who wrote Dracula and Sir Roger Casement 7.24. He was executed as a traitor by the British and his homosexuality was used against him in his trial.
Hi Clint, interesting montage of motley crew fellas. Seeing comments about Kit Connors I had to Google him as his name nent zilch, lo and behold he's a Brit...,well I never 😧 and with not having Netflix I'm 🥴 Guess it's a generational thing. However Charlie Hunnam I know. His TV series of Queer as Folk was so groundbreaking here in the 🇬🇧 The same as Shameless and the characters it produced. Believe me Clint both UK versions of these shows are superior to how they were portrayed in 🇺🇸 versions. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
Hi, Doug! In my experience, most US remakes are pale imitations of the real deal. While I've never been to the UK, your films and tv series have wow'd me since I was a kid. Same for the actors. If it's any consolation, I don't know much about Kit either. But he is a handsome devil and comes highly recommended. Hope all's well there...cheers. ✌️
So far this is only on YT, Tom. Sorry for the confusion. Will likely show up in tomorrow's newsletter, if I don't add it separately later. Experimenting. As usual. :-)
Spectacular montage with some gorgeous men and great music. Love the photos of Kit Connor. He's so handsome and sexy. Unfortunately, my mind is a bit distracted with the loss of Dame Maggie Smith. While I'm a great man-fan, she was an icon and such an amazing actress (oh, sorry--actor the correct word today). Anyway...I'm distracted.
Dame Maggie is a great loss, RJ. Feel what you need to feel. We're lucky to have had her as long as we did, but...damn, damn, DAMN. Take care of you, boo.
Great diverse mix. Intrigued by Roger Casement...Wonder if there books on him. Sounds like was on the forefront of human rights and was unjustly executed.
The little I've read about him leads me to believe there would be at least some scholarly-type books about him. Sounds like as fascinating a man as he was a handsome devil.
Old-fashioned! :-p Not for me, but I'm fine with whatever decisions folks make about their bodies. And if they want me to show off their ink, I'm happy to look. (Also, if you've never seen the tattooing process, it truly can be an art form. Not always, but there's some amazing work out there.)
