Very beautiful I'm against hardship against other religions and this that the prophet allowed Christians to pray in the prophet masjid is definitely inspiring I have always gental to Christian's and my principles is Islam is three dimensions 1: Iman 2:Islam 3: Ihzan They can not be separate and being gentle to the muslims and people of the book and mankind entirely is good and Sunnah .. I wonder if the hadith about the prophet (peace be upon him) allowing the Christians of najaraan (correct my spelling please if I'm wrong) might be unauthentic I don't get it what you said there I thought only the shias believe faitmah was born after the prophet (peace be upon him) became the prophet so I'm confused by your statement there

Episode 62 Notes: Expeditions Between the Battle of Khandaq and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah Expedition of Muhammad Ibn Maslamah In 6 AH, Muhammad Ibn Maslamah RA was sent along with 30 Muslims, by the Prophet SAW to attack the Banu Bakr. They killed 10 of the Banu Bakr and obtained many animals as spoils of war. This tribe was attacked because it was a rebellious tribe. After the conquering of this tribe, on the way back to Medina, the Muslims captured Thumamah Ibn Uthal, the chief of the big Banu Hanfia tribe. Thumamah was unsympathetic to Islam and was opposed to it since the Prophet SAW begun preaching. Thumamah was brought before the Prophet SAW and after spending 3 days within the Prophet SAW’s masjid as a prisoner, he embraced Islam. Failed Assassination Attempt In 6 AH, Abu Sufyan attempted to have the Prophet SAW assassinated. An unnamed bedouin agreed to do this and thus Abu Sufyan supplied him with all the resources to do so. The bedouin then came before the Prophet SAW in Medina. But, the Prophet SAW saw through this man and the Sahabah RA tackled him. The Prophet SAW then questioned him and the man then revealed Abu Sufyan had hired him. He was then let go. However, the unnamed bedouin was surprised by the Prophet SAW’s mercy and thus accepted Islam. Expedition of Abdullah Ibn Atik In 6 AH, the Banu Khazraj asked the Prophet SAW’s permission, so that they can assassinate Abu Rafi who was one of the primary financiers of the Battle of Khandaq. The Prophet SAW allowed this mission and 5 of the Sahabah RA from the Banu Khazraj, went to Khyber and assassinated Abu Rafi at night time. There were no casualties during this expedition. The Invasion of Banu Lahyan In 6 AH, the Prophet SAW led 300 Sahabah RA without any information outside of Medina. The Prophet SAW, then headed towards the Hejaz before telling them that, they would exact revenge upon the Banu Lahyan for their treacherous massacre of Sahabah RA at Al Raji. However, when the Banu Lahyan saw the Muslims approaching they all fled. No battle took place and the Prophet SAW remained there for 3 days before leaving. The Banu Lahyan despite fleeing, sent word to the Quraysh to assist them. So the Quraysh sent a small contingent led by Khalid Ibn Walid. But, no battle took place since Allah SWT revealed Salaat Al Khawf to protect the Muslims from the schemes of Khalid. Expedition of Zayd Ibn Haritha (Al-Is) In 6 AH Zayd RA, was sent by the Prophet SAW, along with 170 Muslims, to capture the caravan of the Quraysh that, was coming back from Syria. Zayd RA successfully captured it and brought back all the spoils to Medina. This included prisoners of war, one of whom was the son in law of the Prophet SAW, Abu Al As. Abu Al As This was the Prophet SAW’s son in law and he was the nephew of Khadijah RA. His mother was Hala the sister of Khadijah RA. Khadijah RA requested that their daughter Zainab RA marry Abu Al As and the Prophet SAW allowed this. Abu Al As deeply loved Zainab RA and was a loving husband. However, initially when Islam came, he declined to accept it. When he was captured after Badr, the Prophet SAW made his ransom be the return of Zainab, who at the time was living in Makkah with him. Abu Al As honoured this and returned Zainab. After the Expedition of Zayd Ibn Haritha RA, Abu Al As was taken as prisoner of war. In Medina his wife Zainab RA gave him protection and the Muslims returned all of the wealth they took in the expedition back to him. Abu Al As then went back to Makkah and returned all of the wealth to the Quraysh, whom it was owed to. Abu Al As RA, then declared his Shahadah publicly in Makkah and then returned to Medina. He then spent his life living in Medina with his wife Zainab RA. Expedition of Abu Ubaidah Ibn Al Jarrah This took place in 6 AH, though there are some who say it took place much later. The Prophet SAW, sent 300 men led by Abu Ubaidah RA to capture the Qurayshi caravan as it headed up towards Syria. But, the Quraysh had fled and no battle took place. During this expedition, the food became short to the extent a famine ensued. However, Abu Ubaidah RA and the Muslims discovered a beached whale that, had died on the beach. Thus, they ate it and were amazed by the size of this whale. The 300 Muslims gained a lot of weight from eating the meat from this whale and the Muslims ate from the whale for one month before returning back to Medina. Fun Trivia fact: Thumamah RA was the first Muslim to enter Makkah with the proper Talbiyah. The reason for this was because Thumamah RA was captured by the Muslims, whilst he was on his way to perform Umrah. Thus after becoming a Muslim, he headed straight to Makkah to perform Umrah. Fun Trivia fact: Musaylimah was from the Banu Hanfia too and during the wars of Ridda. Thumamah RA fought against Musaylimah and he died during the Ridda Wars. Fun Trivia fact: It was during the Invasion of Banu Lahyan that, Allah SWT sent Jibreel down with An Nisa Ayah 102 which legislated Salaat al Khawf. Salaat Al Khawf was sent down between Zuhur and Asar. This was sent down because Khalid Ibn Walid planned to attack the Muslims when they were in Salaah. This was the first time Salaat al Khawf was prayed. Although the majority opinion is that, it was prayed for the first time at Asfan during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. ========================================================== Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series: Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series. You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
