I always chalk it up to them being young and having blown up real fast and a lot of previous members probably not being in the best position to support that momentum

Connie is great at distracting people from noticing the lineup changes but us true fans can hear the difference. I miss the old guitarist so much (his lower vocals complimented Connie perfectly) and wasn't the old drummer her brother?

How old are you? I only ask because they have early to mid 2000’s vibes which isn’t as common in hardcore anymore imo. I think for some of us it’s a bit nostalgic but also a change from current hardcore bands. Just my take on it though.

Eduardo Lopez I’m older. The hype is bc they’re a trans fronted band doing throwbacks to older bands. Nothing really spectacular but as it’s been said it gives people nostalgia and draws the younger crowd in via that sense of wonder listening to a “-revival” band plus they appeal to lgbtq+ and the presence/awareness is more more prevalent in modern times.

@@eduardolopez7670 you said it best! SYSC reminds me of Drop Dead Gorgeous. especially the sound of the album "in Vogue" but in a new, heavier, and refreshing way. They sound nostalgic but definitely deserve credit for bringing something new to the table.
