Gaming needs Sega right now more than ever

Little known fact, that is it tradition in japan that you hand some one a sega saturn after kicking their asses, honour demands it.

Every year my desire to go to Japan burns more and more, I seriously could see myself picking up and relocating and starting completely over in the land of the rising sun and I think I would love every second of it. If I didn't have so many commememts holding me down to the area im at right now having to help take care of my elderly father as well as my brother who suffered from a TBI and it tottaly dependent on a personal care provider I would of packed up and rolled a few years back. Japan just seems so amazing , a beautiful landscapes , such ancient customs, lore, traditions and even architecture, not to mention being someone who eats sleeps and breaths everything to do with gaming from the history of gaming machines , the minds behind them and the devs behind all the many games we have all enjoyed for the last 40 years, not to mention just all the awesome obscure games that never had a chance to make it out the country man does it all seem more and more like the place to go. Some people travel the world to study animals, people, language etc too me it's how I see my urge to learn all I can about gaming history front to back and where better to go then the country which birthed many of the world's greatest consoles, mascots And series and not to mention the game industry in general seems to be much more of a prominent thing. I would die to walk down the road and see massive buildings that display sega, or Nintendo, or huge arcades, shops and so forth !! Ughh if I could only go!!!!

Man, Japanese arcades are something else. I managed to snatch a few nice prizes last year at the big Sega arcade. Feels very nostalgic for me to watch this and your choice of music is top notch . That Streets of Rage remix was awesome.

I've wanted to even go to Japan for the longest time; enjoy all of the culture, food, games, scenery... I would love to spend my days eating Japanese cuisine, seeing all the scenery, and of course playing King of Fighters, Initial D Arcade, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, Rhythm Games, and whatever else they have to offer.

It's crazy seeing how a company that started with two high school friends making visual novels in a decade became so massive they made arcade versions of Fate and put them in arcades beside the likes of Tekken. A physcial example of how anything is possible, that the idea that 'ya gotta have contacts to make it big' is boogus, that what you need is an idea and the skills to not fuck it up.

3:52 SHIMAKAZE-CHAN!!!!! I want that figure! So nice to see Kantai Collection is still going in these arcades. Although it was a little heartbreaking to see 12:54 with a completely empty aisle. There was a time when those games would be jam packed full all day. It's a shame that Love Live still dominates though. It's not even that good of an anime or franchise.

Thanks for the video. I was curious as to what the difference between the many Sega arcades locations were. I visited Akihabara twice while on my Tokyo vacation, but didn't go into the arcades much (mostly retro game shopping at the typical stores).

thanks for the vid, thats 3 of the places i plan to visit this year on a trip there in 3 months. its a good guide to where i would need to go to find these locations. the Initial D arcade stage 8 ish is one big highlight as v3 was great, AS4 was decent but the last north american version....

Where are the Typing of the Dead arcade machines!? Last I was there in November I was going crazy looking for it. I know it was in one of the arcades, the only one I ever knew of. . . . But it seems to be gone :

So judging by 12:47-12:53, these SEGA arcades have all the House of the Dead games except the first one? I mean, I'd still go to any of these arcades regardless! But the first game is still my favorite out of the series... so as much as I hate to admit, it's a bit bothersome for me not seeing it anywhere XD
