Let’s mod the amazing Sega Dreamcast Agetec (Green Goblin) arcade stick! This is my favorite console and quite possibly my favorite arcade stick, especially when modded with Seitmitsu or Sanwa parts. With so many amazing games on the Dreamcast, this is a must-have for collectors and Dreamcast lovers. The best part is I’m giving this away to The Immortal John Hancock - a legend in the retro gaming scene. Subscribe to his channel if you have not already.

Great channel. Anyone who appreciates scalines has to be good! I've never attempted a mod like this, I don't even have the tools yet, but I think I'm going to try it because of your video. My Dreamcast stick is worn out and I've been looking to get a new one, just for casual emulation on PC. I was considering selling mine and buying something cheap but I think this mod would be both much cooler and will teach me a lot of skills I've always wished I'd had. Finally a legit excuse to buy a Dremel and learn soldering! Doesn't matter if ends up more expensive, I'd be paying for the education, not just the stick.

Great video but a word of advice. You can get an exact 30mm stepper drill bit that will give you an exact 30mm hole so you don’t have to be imprecise with the Dremel. I used these stepper drill bits to resize the button holes on my Evel Knievel pinball machine when I updated all the hardware since the old Bally buttons where no longer made. Hope that helps.

@@Bodega_dASH_Goteem haha yeah you need one fit for grinding metal...I did the same thing first time. But yes you can certainly do what he says above but I had some difficulty doing it without a proper large stationary drill press. Fantastic video! Production quality and lighting are top-notch, and I love your studio/workshop! I'm a bit confused about how to attach quick disconnects to the pushbutton wires. I bought these terminals and sleeves from focusattack and this crimping tool from Amazon: -Philmore .110" Non-Insulated Quick Disconnect Terminal (Box of 100) -Nylon .110" Quick Connector Insulation Sleeve (Approx 100pcs) -Titan Tools 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper Tool for Insulated Terminals - Fixed Jaw Terminal Crimper The terminals are already closed, so it seems like the crimper doesn't do anything to them. I've been trying to crimp terminals to the old ground wires, but I haven't gotten one to stay yet. Any crimping tutorials you could recommend? What tool/terminals do you use? What's that Dremel bit that you used to widen the holes and grind the JLF body? I've been using tungsten carbide tile grout cutting bits for random projects like this. They works well for cutting aluminum and cast iron (I use it for porting small cylinder engines), but they're also pretty skinny and better for detail work so I've been looking for something wider. Also, great video as always dude! I can definitely tell you put a lot of time and effort into making these. It's motivating, like I want to make some videos of my stick mods too, though I lack the editing chops to produce something as good as this lol.

17:54 I always throw out the yellow guides on Seimitsu joysticks (and the blue on the LS-32 because when they are set on the largest size like you have here, the two corners feel different to the other two corners. On the other side the guide doesn't touch the actuator at all and on the other side they touch the guide. I've eve tried cutting two guides and adding them together so that the actuator touches the yellow guide on all corners but that makes it feel much worse than just getting rid of the guide and using the actual square gate.

Joska Cintron i installed the LS-32-01-SC-K, and had the same issue. I had to dremel down the walls the original stick sat inside of. With this it still dragged on the bottom of the plate. I put clay in those 2 cylinder shaped pillars for weight, but i had to add a slight few millimeters more of clay so it could push against the bottom plate. Sucks cause the clay going farther out then the cylinder pillars means my bottom plate is bending slightly, but thats the only way i got the stick to not drag. After closed it up and it was fine. Shockingly it sealed perfectly, and doesn’t wobble when i leave it on my desk. Its janky, and Im sure the plate is permanently warped; but its better then not having your stick go back to neutral position.

Wow man! You did an amazing job with this stick! No matter how many videos of modded Dreamcast sticks I see, I am always amazed by what people could do with it! Personally I prefer multicolored parts that represent the buttons! Now if only it was possible to mod a Sega Genesis arcade stick! I would love to get one of my own and get it modded with Sanwa parts. But I am not in any way good at doing stuff like this, nor do I trust myself with stuff like that. Do you do commissions or know anyone who does?

A new Scanline City is a good way to start an early morning. But DAMN, that was a whopper of a mod. Think I'll stick with those Konami Hypersticks! I've got a bunch - two near stock for regular PS1, two heavily modded for Game Boy Player on GC, and two others that are in the works for arcade supergun units.
