My timestap rating: 0:37 These 3D models are nice! 0:58 Good, but you can't eject if you emulated. 1:10 One of the best "restart soon" messages out there! 1:31 the video you've made looks like creepypasta 11/10!
the timestamp ratings you made are the type of constructive timestamp ratings we need on these types of videos instead of “this anti piracy warning is shit!1!1!!1” unsubbed! thank you, for keeping it constructive and not destructive
Overall looks really legit and looks like how the anti-piracy measures would have looked like on the Dreamcast. My only complaint is that at 1:05, it says "Sonic Adventure DX". The game was just called "Sonic Adventure" on the Dreamcast, and the "DX" version was the remastered version with updated graphics, more features, etc. that was later released on GameCube, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Actually there are two: 1. The actual game discs where GDR instead of normal CDR which were just more compact CDs. Because of that you couldn't just burn your own because no CD drive could read or write a GDR and there are really no blank GDRs out there. But because they insisted on making the Dreamcast play 7 karaoke games called MilCD the first two versions can boot CDs. So what people did was rip the GDRs, compress them to fit on a CDR and just burn it. 2. If it detected a fake CDR it scrambled two files that where needed to boot into RAM but by making the files scrambled on the disc and let that security feature sort it right again in the RAM it would work.
"please select what you have done" I'm gonna be honest, all I did was emulation, this was dumped from a real sega dreamcast, it must be legal since I actually bought a dreamcast and dumped it's firmware so I could play at the comfort of my PC
Errors: 0:42 The date says: 03/06/2021, When this video was uploaded nowhere near that time. 1:05 It says "Sonic Adventure DX" Which was only released for the Gamecube 1:28 The Dreamcast logo has a small "TV" sign next to it, when it's supposed to say "TM" for "Trademark" BONUS: 1:36 - There is a Blue Circle meaning that it's a PAL version, When Sonic Adventure DX only came out on the PC in PAL regions.
@@TheGreatUnknownProductions Also, The video was great! It tried to help you not to pirate and teached you a lesson, unlike other anti- piracy's which just scare you.
@@TheGreatUnknownProductions the ending is both aesthetic and creepy like what would you do if you saw a 3D render of your dreamcast forming a no entry sign
Hey, I admire your work. Would it be possible to make an Anti Piracy on the Oculus Quest 2? I understand you have a lot of work, no rush just a recommendation.
Real anti piracy screens: it appears you bought a pirated copy of this game. Please report the stolen copy immediately. Fake anti piracy screens: prepare to die
Sweet project. To bad their disc anti-piracy sucked. Then again, that might have made the media last past any disc rot by future discs being formatted like mill-CDs with the games (Assuming I read correctly how to format a normal CD like one)
i already noticed this is a fake, because SEGA Dreamcast just lacks any anti-piracy measures, you can just burn a 500 MB CD and SEGA Dreamcast will play it anyway
0:57 what it says: ________________________________ | You have chosen: | | -Emulation | |We will automatically add Disc | |Piracy because the game was | | paid. | -------------------------------------------------
When it said, "Get a legit copy of Sonic Adventure DX" i think you meant get a legit copy of Sonic Adventure, since Sonic Adventure DX is the Gamecube release of the game
how is this console with no internet gonna tell the police to arrest you even if it asked you to connect it to internet somehow, you could always destroy the device
@@TheGreatUnknownProductions it asked for a legit copy of Sonic Adventure (DX) wich is a gamecube port of the original sonic adventure all im saying you added the (DX) in lol Heres a easier way to put it Sonic Adventure DX is a gamcube game Sonic Adventure is the original DreamCast game
