How did you print the letters / logo? You skipped that bit.

I did!? :) But its printed on a transparent sticker paper than can be used on any home inkjet printer! Not perfect but does the job! :)

Como faz pra "imprimir" o logotipo direto no plástico? Tipo o SEGA? Vinuma restauração onde a pessoa restaurou os dizeres nesse círculo.

Neste caso i lmprimi num adesivo próprio transparente que pode ser feito em qq impressora caseira. Depois colei e ta feito :)

Do you have any tips on how to properly paint consoles? How long do you wait for the paint to cure? I’m constantly running into paint blistering issues when applying clear coat

Hi! Im not an expert but depends what type of paint… Spray can, i let sometimes 24/48h before aplly the clear coat on car paint and spray gun i let it about 2/3 hours and you good to go.! :) Make shure the clear coat is compatible with the paint! water base, acrylic …

Cara onde você fez esses "decalques" tem algum lugar que trabalha com esse tipo de impressão ou foi você mesmo que fez?

Faco eu mesmo! Existe um “adesivo” transparente que pode ser impresso nas impressoras caseiras… depois é cortar e colar.. Nao fica perfeito mas resulta muito bem

Thnks! The labels are printed in a clear paper specially for home inkjet printers… Then just print and cut them

Hola amigo, ¿el escudo RF se puede pintar sin problemas? Sé que tiene zonas donde hace contacto con la pcb. Olá amigo, a blindagem de RF pode ser pintada sem problemas? sei que tem áreas onde faz contato com a pcb

@@IvoCSS Nao. Compra se em blocos de folhas a4 e podes imprimir em impressora de tinteiros.. Ha ainda outros de decalcar com agua que sao top e mais perfeitos, mas ainda n testeo

Its just printed in a normal inkjet printer on a clear type paper… :)

@@fabiofontes haha no wories, I 'm just old so all I need is a little time to get used to new things. Keep doing what you're doing. Applying the clear coat after putting on the stickers is a pro move. Also, drowning all the critical switches and hardware interfaces in contact spray, I gotta remember that. Do you wipe off the excess, or is there no problem in leaving it on the pcb?

Honestamente, eu não teria pintado ele dessa cor com purpurina azul. Se fosse optar por um glitter de fundo, seria prata com cor base branca mais quente. Talvez trocasse o LED por um laranja de alto brilho, ou mesmo quem sabe um de luz negra pra dar uma personalizada a mais. Fora isso, toda a restauração foi bem executada na remoção de ferrugem e oxidação tal como esse mítico console merece.

@@fabiofontes just don't have a spray gun, only spray cans. want to try to repaint/restore a Limited Edition JPN 3DS XL.

@@xt3100 Its a handlheld it needs to be a good spary can otherwise it will star fade.. try a clear coat can over the paint to protect it

@@fabiofontes exactly what i intend to do. but have you seen the Japan New Super Mario Bros 2 3DS LL? that is the paint job i want to repaint. Many pits in it so i need to sand and then fill the pits before i can paint it. but i need to find a way to mask and paint it right without paint bleeding.
