In this video I show how to configure the MegaDrive/Genesis for simple scrolling. I go over setting up both background planes to use 64x64 tile mode, and explain how to create a simple virtual camera to clip sprites, so they only appear when on camera. I also show a simple method you can use to create small game levels, which don't require an application to make them. I later encounter an issue with the code, so make sure to watch to the end, to see what I missed! The Sprite Manager code has been slightly reworked in this tutorial to allow for sprites to work with a virtual camera.
