STEP 1 - Turn on the unit
STEP 2 - Hold down the throttle and the brake for 5 seconds
STEP 3 - Once lights are solid turn it off and back on
STEP 4 - Ride and enjoy!!
Hrmmmm, bit of a fail. Tried combinations of button presses etc. Nothing changes the outcome of the malfunction light sequence.

Hello- you need to hold down the throttle and the brake for like 5 seconds. Once lights are solid turn it off and on the. You should be good to go.

Thank you so much Melanie!!!!! You saved Xmas morning at our house. I followed your pointers and it worked perfectly. It's really stupid that the user manual, website or any forums don't mention this fix!! Here's what I did so hopefully it helps others: *Fully charge scooter with provided charger (light on charger will be green when it is fully charged) *Press power button once (NOT long hold) and the battery and mode buttons will both start flashing quickly and there is a series of 3 beeps that repeat over and over. *Hold the hand brake and throttle down all the way together for at least 5 seconds. The beeping will stop and the battery and mode lights will become solidly lit. *Press and hold the power button to power down the scooter. Wait 30 seconds and press power button again to power up the scooter and you are ready to ride!!

@@rainey06au guys thanks for helping me save christmas here, so far I fully charged the scooter (my charger is always on green, never on red) got rid of the alarm sound in the video by turning the throttle and brake down 5 secs and now green and white solid lights, turned it off and on (sometimes makes weird sound before turning on) but throttle does not go.

Had the same issue last year with this scooter now its flashing with the same lights as in video and when I do this method is will do nothing only blink and flash with white and red lights and alarm sound anyone any fix for this please

It's just a safety feature, hold down throttle and brake for 5 secs and then switch off 30 sec and switch back on

Whatever the case, it isn't explained in the manual. Thats about as clever as hiding something so well you forget where it is yourself.

Ours won't doesn't function after holding throttle and brakes for 5/10/30/100 sec. Makes no diff but in general there are instructions and a QR code that comes with scooter that tells you to activate it. So pls ppl, just READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. However, I would argue that this activation feature is a terrible thing that Nine bot required its owners to go through. Waste of time and for no benefit.

Yep ours is great. My daughter loves it. We get about 1 hour of riding from a charge, about 8km's of distance. It goes a maximum of 16kph under power, and faster if rolling downhill of course.
