*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
G30 Max user here, the new folding mechanism looks waaaaaay better, I had my break like 3 times, and I really like the new Disc brakes, that and suspension would be the perfect next gen G30
Honestly, i would wait for the next gen scooters, don’t get me wrong the G30 is great but will turn 3 Years this year, and it shows in the technology, a rear Motor is great, but that means no disc front breaks, and they drum brakes suck, i get that they cant be too strong or you are going to fly, the motor is also kinda outdated with its 350W Nominal and 750W Peak power, and the battery is also only 36V, which also isn’t great for motor performance, maybe this just sounds like tech sh*t to you, but when you know a bit about this stuff you know what i am talking about, and you know that these are “weakpoints“, for the folding mechanism issue, you can get something from monorim to reinforce it, so it basically cant break. The air Tires are great, and if you do loose air, some tire slime should fix it, and this thing drives like a ship, i quite like that feeling, i don’t know how it is with the F40, and the bigger battery is also nice on the G30. Tuning on the G30 is great, there is for almost anything a upgrade kit, i don’t think the tuning opportunities are that great on the F40. The only things i needed to replace in my 2500km+ were the folding mechanism and the front bearings, i also did some upgrades but they weren’t mandatory.
@@tospoooky4me-417 I weight about 245 so I wanted something heavy duty in about the 1200 or lower price range only thing I saw was G30. Thinking which to go for this or like u said wait for the upgrade or a e-bike
@@liDanTheManil they announced the P100S, it’s a beast, double the Battery capacity than the G30 and it has front and rear suspension, I think that’s right around 1200$ you can watch the announcement, but I think I’d be worth waiting for that, I will probably upgrade to it and i wouldn’t worry about weight, if you are 40KG too much it isn’t a problem.
@@liDanTheManil if your concern is weight , the p100 is about to come out and it looks amazing. i have a G30LP which is the grey and smaller version of the G30 max. i have rode both the max and LP and honestly love them both, but spooky is right on the money with the issues he brought up. for a almost 1k scooter it should have more quality features than it does. However the new p100's acutely fix most of those issues, cost a bit more than the max but its def worth it. I only bought the G30LP in august last year so its still pretty fresh and does what i need it to, but i think i am going to jump the gun and upgrade to the new p100 when i can. hope this helps with your decision
@@liDanTheManil try to do a decent testride somewhere before buying, that’s the best advice I can give :-). And know that when launching new models they pay a lot of people a lot of money to place reviews online so people just buy their crappy stuff … the max is since 2019 the best escooter in his budget. And that is with a reason. I can compare myself with es4, G30 and F40 and I can say that build quality, stability, performance and trustability the max stays far above all the others on every point. The only down point is the weight. But it is worth the extra weight for what you get. And if you need more luxury like suspensions or upgraded firmware, also only the max is capable for this upgrades. So my advice : if you have a choice, always take the max in his priceclass and forget all that beautiful reviews of a F40 climbing hills of 20% and giving you 40kilometer range etc … if you get half you should be happy.
@@chrismccannIRL it is only around 2kilo heavier and instead you get a full decent escooter compared to a F40. If you can carry that 2 kilo I would say: buy max. If not, be happy to have only half the performance and distance of a Max in reality.
I bought bundle of 2 Max G30LP for $1300.00 a few days on on Best Buy (now the price is up by a little). But it looks like G30LP seems to very similar in term of features, but I could be wrong. I was able to ride over 8 miles for the battery level to drop to 48% while going mostly sports mode.
For those that might be considering this Scooter, here's a warning - as the store I purchased mine from has begun a recall process on this specific model due to constant returns / faults. Myself and others that I know personally have had consistent issues with the wheels and brakes not operating properly on this model, the first time I bought the Ninebot F40, the brakes on the back wheel started to disintegrate resulting in them coming apart in a middle of a ride. After this was repaired, my back wheel popped when riding over a flat surface, after spending quite a bit to have the wheel / brakes replaced - my front wheel then popped again so I returned it to the store. They provided me with a brand new F40, and within weeks of use - the wheels on both front / back popped during rides (I'm 90 kilos / 5'10) whilst riding again on safe non rugged surfaces. I contacted the store again, and they advised me that many people are returning / refunding their F40s due to mechanical faults and they've begun a recall to replace everyone's F40's with another company / model. Avoid this Scooter.
What did you ride on a bunch of prickles I've had mine since launch 2021 now is 2023 original tyre's and always on pavement or roads .. Sounds like the store sold you a fake ninebot plenty of them around
@@kaneclark7171 Just because you haven't had a negative experience doesn't mean anything, this was merely my feedback from using the product. Not sure why you're giving me your personal positive review, I have zero intentions on using this product range in the future so don't bother trying to convince me otherwise.
I’m thinking of upgrading for more top speed and torque my f40 on sports get my 170 p weight about20 km but it’s torque is minimal light though and seems solid, got it to 40 km downhill and still stable and it doesn’t really struggle unless I’m looking at a 20% gradient
This is way better than a max and on sports mode you get to 18 miles per hour, waste more battery and don't get the full 25 mile range but for me it gives the full 25 mile range
Is it IPX5 like the G30 ? The dream one without the heavy and unnecessary huge battery from the g30, ideal for me. Coming from the m365 and the Boosted rev. The just middle ! The design took from the Boosted rev tho
I just got my F40E and apparently this one has only Walk mode instead of Cruise mode? Can I hack it to get it anyway? Would be a shame to have to return it for one that does have it
I bought one, but returned it, the mentioned "slow acceleration" translates to "low power at low speeds". this makes its pickup feel terrible (as it doesn't have any), but what's worse is that it kicks in when you slow down going up a hill. This means that as you slow down, it drops the power output making you slow down even more and end up walking up hills. I live in a city with hills and planned to replace my 3 year old M365 (2500km ridden) with this newer and "better" scooter, but its worse. Its supposed to handle 20% inclines, but doesn't (not even the 8.5% incline on my street). One very unhappy camper here. If you live in a flat city/country, it'd be fine, it rides nicely & apart from the lack of pickup is a decent, well made scooter.
Good feedback Tim. We also agree it’s a little slow for some riders. Did you have the F30 or F40? the advantage is the build quality seems very sturdy on this one compared to most others
@@TechWeWant I bought the F40, so it should have had plenty of power (& did when above about 25km/h). I agree on the sturdiness & general feeling of "built well" - the deck in particular seemed weirdly comfortable (not that other decks are uncomfortable, this one is just.... nicer to stand on). It was just a pity about the software :-(
U forgot to mention at least 1 important thing. How much does it weight, easy to carry ? And sure the IPx5 classification if it is that or not on it....
dang, sounds slower than the Skatebolt Tonado 2 I am trying to get rid of, that thing can go up hills! I think it needs the 500watts at least to have more torque to make it up hills better.
Media space seems to not know of E series existing. As an owner of E45 would not recommend getting it. Snapped rear brake cable around 200 km, rear fender is rattly as hell from the first 15 km. Get a xiaomi / ninebot max and buy fender reinforcement thing (cheap).
The F40 is a little smaller but has a great build quality. G30 is a little beefier but you’ll get higher top speed and more range. If you don’t need all the range get the F40. But they are both great
Yes unfortunately. Other than the slow acceleration, (which to be honest, I'm ok with as this is for my kid, and it's safer), the scooter rocks. The acceleration is an issue really only on hills where you need to enter into with some speed. But for the money, hard ot find anything that out performs.
I currently have Ninebot Max G30. I live on the second floor of the villa on the fourth floor. It's hard to take Ninebot Max because there's no elevator. What is the weight of the Ninebot F40? I am Korean and I used a translator for English. And how much is the spec difference between Ninebot Max and Ninebot F40 besides their weight?
I have the F40 and maxG30. Very bad performance of the F40 compared to maxG30. I can only advise people to NOT buy the F series. Stay with maxG30 ( or maxG30L version if you need less weight and don’t mind less distance). The F is a big scam. No performance , no decent acceleration, cannot climb the smallest hill without power-loss and stand still on it.
@@XsnipxrmainX i can understand that for certain people the F40 can be enough, but for most people who like possibility to higher speed, big distance and hill-climbing acceleration, the max g30 is just way better then. Above that the max can be modded completely according personal preferences. If I would need a scooter to drive 5km/day to work on flat roads, easily bend together, or as you say go play in a swamp with it, I would definitely NOT use a maxg30 :-). Then F40 is in the picture as good alternative indeed. And price is indeed according to what you get. You can also not compare any Ninebot-scooter with VSETT or … but price is also different. All depends on personal expectations I think :-)
@@kevinp4782 for the price, and for what the F series offers it’s fantastic. The G series is for those who want a roadster scooter, if you’re wanting a calm, pleasant and easy commute vehicle then the F series is great.
Don't buy any segway they do not stand behind their warranty you get a manufacturer one year warranty then you can purchase a 3yrs warranty there after which I did, my sons segways neck cracked while he was riding it luckily he wasn't injured or kill during this I've left hundreds of emails with no response and the segway number hangs up on you when you call it, so definitely do not buy this or any of these products because it will break and you'll be in the same boat as me looking like a fool for paying over $500 from a company that has zero integrity when it comes to their warranty or products.
Worst scooter and worst customer service ever…after not even 5 months the battery cable broke. Segway customer service said they have to charge 275€ for the repair because this is not covered by the warranty! Will never buy a Segway scooter again 🤬
This reminds me of the Xiaomi Pro 2 w/ larger 10" inch tube tyres plus a larger 140mm mechanical disc plate compared to the Pro 2's 120mm disc brake. A great alternative to the Xiaomi Pro 2 hehe! 😁🛴
