Should have completed his 200... Unfortunately he missed out this ball, what a wonderful inning it was from Viru, I am from Pakistan but I always loved watching him bat. Specially when he downed Aussies, it was the era when Aussies were proud of winning everything and they thought no team could beat them. But India showed that they are a fathers of batters.... @Andrew Meek The West indies team of Richards' era was one of the all-time great teams. And he used to come down the order after his team's talented openers - Greenidge & Haynes - used to complete the job of harassing/tiring the opposition bowlers & taking off the shine of the ball. Whereas, Sehwag had to face the new ball as an opener. Note that Sehwag was actually a middle-order batsman, but he was forced to open, as the likes of Ganguly, Tendulkar, Laxman, etc. didn't want to face the new ball in Tests. So he was always very hard to get out once he used to face off the new ball. If he had the privilege of Richards to come down the order, his records would have been much more staggering.

Have to Salute Dada for such a tactical change of letting Sehwag open in Test, not many pundits agreed to it but he sticked to the plan even after few rusty starts. Remember his innings against Newzelamd in the series where the whole teams total used to be less than 150 but this guy scored 4 tons in a 7 game series where ppl were questioning whether he will play also in such swinging conditions.
