That bezel is great looking, especially from the side. I do like the dial colour. Not totally sold on the patina look with this dial, something about it is initially off with my eye, but it is nothing serious. I think I am partial to Fautina with certain dial colours. I do like blue vs green lume though...go figure..lots of Monster discussions of late, guess its the latest homage for others, nice to see the real deal! And yes people, worth a sub this channel is! Its the quality over quantity thing...😊 Have a great New Year dude!!

Glad to see the original crown shape back but hey they changed the case and bezel design slightly! Mmm funny seiko. Got a gen 2 might give this a go.

I haven't handled a gen 1 - 3, hopefully I will get to just to compare. I know people swear by the older generations and think this one isn't quite a true monster.

I was just looking at this watch at my local dealer yesterday. Might have to ask him if he would remove the cyclopes for me if i bought it. It's a pretty nice looking piece, wish it had a saphire without the cyclopes.

Sapphire crystal and no cyclops would have made this watch so much better.

Picked one up for $260 new . Cyclops off slightly , all else is aligned well. +3 spd. I'll let it stick around . Thought that was a good price at the time . 🥂

Seiko is notorious for alignment problems related to the dial, chapter ring and bezel unfortunately :(

At 3.23, you mentioned that this watch is powered by the NH36 movement. It should be the 4R36 instead as NH36 is used for non-Seiko brands.

Never handled one but it seems big. Not partial to the stubby hour hand but seems like a stout build. That magnifier is not to my taste either. I really like your detailed description.

Thank you. It doesn't wear as big as I thought it would, but definitely bigger than my preference. I don't mind the magnifier, except it collects dust like crazy.

NH series movements are used for Non Seiko watches.

I prefer the Heimdallr Monsters. Milled clasp and sapphire glass for 1/3 the cost. Also Seiko seems to be toning down the Monster looks more and more. Even the teeth on the bezel edge are gone.

Yes I agree, they have totally refined them into a smoother package. I have looked at those Heimdallr versions and they look way closer to the original!

@@JustWatches1 They sure do! I have the Frost version and the build quality is on par or better than the Seiko original (i returned a gen 4 Seiko monster because i couldn't justify the price i paid for it).
