I just bought this watch and while it seems so cliche' to say, "it looks better in person than it does in photos", in this case that point is 100% true. When I opened the box, I was stunned at how good it looked, compared to the images online. I also found that the lighting can make it look anywhere from emerald green to almost black. This watch is almost alive and ever changing which should go a long way to prevent boredom from setting in. FWIW, besides this color, I also bought the same model in champagne color. The 36mm is starting to grow on me and my 6.5 inch wrist.
No, buy green one, this one is better looking, at first I also wanted to buy the champagne one, but at boutique when I saw the green one I was blown away by its dial.
I really don't understand Japan sometimes. They sell to some countries but not to others, they withhold models people would actually like and only sell them in Japan. It's like they hate money.
@@welcomewrist , true, but I found it is better to have the strap in a slightly different shade than the Dial, so as to make the Dial pop out! I have an old Seiko chronograph with titanium case, Khaki dial and white indices and hands. Got it as a gift from m brother in law, NOS (it is literally brand new). It came on a leather strap with the exact same shade of Khaki as the dial and I find the dial simply gets lost in the overall image of the watch. For my Orient Kamasu (which came on a metal band), with a dark green/teal dial, I chose a Khaki silicone strap from a Garmin watch and the contrast between them really brings our the emerald shades of the watch. I also have a Orient 3 star automatic with a tobacco dial and golden indices and hands, I put it on a brown leather strap with the same shade and it was... ok. Like a watch for old people. I then put it on a tan leather strap (very light brown, towards cream even) and that Dial simply exploded by contrast with the strap. My advice is: If you have a colourful dial, get a strap with the same colour but with a different shade and the contrast will elevate the watch 2 classes above it's pricepoint.
I have a good few Seiko watches but due to the price hikes and the on going QC issues they sadly have lost my custom.. There are plenty of micro brands making fantastic watches ..... That is a very nice dial though... 😮
Nice commentary but Jesus man keep a watch still on camera - put it down while you’re talking - pick it up and move it around to show the light play but this??? - it’s bouncing around so much our eyes can’t keep up - there’s so much lens flare going on with the crystal you might as well have been trying to send a morse code message - you should place a warning that people with epilepsy shouldn’t watch this video
