Every now and than, I come back to this video. I saw this video when it came out, and it took me 2 years and half to get the SNKE51, now, after wearing it daily for almost two years, i bought it again to be pristine, and really take care of it, as i got some other ones on the side, to rotate.
9:45 blue strap is also good! Liked that blue leather, but like that blue suede as the micro 'fluff' rearranges and 'shades' light to the two toned blues, that actually complements the blue sunburst dial!
The dark blue Hadley 👌🏼 Amazing how some of these straps add a ton of versatility to the timepiece and make a sub $100 watch look like a million bucks.
The blue-black crock band on this Seiko 5 SNK E51 is arguably the most beautiful combo I have ever seen. Breathtaking indeed. I ordered the “J” version for $100 and also a deep blue XL crock band. This is truly a ‘must have’ thing. I may have to mod in a Sapphire crystal.
2 years later I did exactly the same to my SNKE51J1 due to this guy's videos. Sapphire with double dome and blue AR and the Hardley Roma blue croc. Brings this little Seiko to a new level.
I'm glad to watch a fellow strap nut! Since I don't have a lot of money for tons of watches, I quickly discovered the beauty of strap swapping to transform the few watches I have to fit the occasion. Much cheaper and can be quite effective!
Great video! I’m just now getting into watches and I never knew that these bands can be mixed and matched! I just bought and Seiko 5 myself and switched out the band for a NATO nylon strap. Very casual, everyday, beat up watch.
Me three! Was considering the Bambino gen 2 for another inexpensive dress watch alternative, but this watch with the Blue Croc strap is fabulous. Also, one guy in his amazon review of the band mentioned that he installed a double dome sapphire crystal along with a deployment clasp...the watch looks amazing-he developed a real keeper! Be well.
Recently I bought this model of Seiko 5, it is really a stunning looking watch costing me US$75, what a bargain. When it arrived it was running 30sec per day fast, not really acceptable after some adjustments it is now running about 10 sec per day slow totally acceptable. Get this watch you won't be disappointed.

I have only just discovered this video, I thought I had watch all your uploads! You are completely right about the Seiko 5 looking good on anything. I've got strap from eternitizzz and combat-straps that cost more than my Seiko 5, but that little Seiko can roll with the punches along side the big boys! That blue 'gator like strap from Hadley roma is beautiful on that! Great vid!

ohhhh I agree 100000000% percent. I have this watch, and the original bracelet was absolute rubbish. I changed it to a black leather band, and it looks great

Good concept on the video. I love the selections as well, except for the mesh, its just not for me. I like how you demonstrated enough of each and then moved on. The beauty of this watch is its versatility with many differnet bands. Good job.
exactly, seiko 5 just need a strap change, the stock bracelet/strap does do its justice! sadly, most of the people are turned away because of the stock look
The Hadley Roma is the best. By far. So sexy. The first one you showed. I picked up that 40mm Tisell Type B cuz of one your last videos. That Miyota movement! I've had it for a week and I love it. The thing that gets me about the Seiko 5 is that it's 38mm. Too small for me, but I do own one and I love it, but it's sparsely worn.
First of all thanks for this video I can not decide but black falls through with me ever and metal too. Brown or blue, you made it harder for me because many bracelets look so good on this awesome watch * lol * I will probably opt for the brown gentlement leather bracelet.
