Extraordinary, but I'd like it even better in blue + rose gold.

I’m not a big fan of their aesthetic for the most part. This is a nice one.

I wish that Seiko would have been more focus on marketing the Credor brand instead of Grand Seiko.🤔

Looks and sounds like one of those cheap brands you see on Ali Express

Maybe it's to do with production numbers. I think they make only a few dozen of these a year, whereas they make a lot more Grand Seiko, so they probably prioritize marketing those in order to sell as many as they can

クレドールが広告などのマーケティングに力を入れないのは、昔から買ってくれていた顧客や、自らここにたどり着く本当の時計好きだけを相手にしたいからです。 使う人のイメージでブランドを下げることを避けています。

Beautiful from the front (I quite like the dimple), but I just can't get past the back of this watch. Apart from the impressively wide beveling, the movement just looks so plain. There are so many watches in the price range that blow the doors off of this one when it comes to movement finishing, I think you really need to be totally in love with this brand to buy it. And you also need to value and buy into the whole story about a group of Japanese watchmakers comparing twigs with Dufour, lol.

@jamesn9221 3 месяца назад
The movement is a spring drive, that’s why it doesn’t have the intricacy of a fully mechanical. For the tech in it, the back is immaculate

I guess I don't understand the price. It's listed new on Credor's site for 7.535 million yen which is under $49k USD at the moment (including Japanese VAT, which you can get refunded as a tourist) or a GS dealer can arrange to obtain for you in the US. So why shell out $59k used? There probably is a reason I'm missing.

@@wertj3977 It looks like someone doesn't understand how watch pricing works for some brands or particular models. Perhaps he should google "Rolex."

You should take the effort to tell the retail price of watches in your videos smh

It's not about a lack effort, the price can fluctuate and this is more of a future proof archive.

I don’t know enough about what it takes to create a porcelain/enamel dial of this quality, but I would guess that this is possibly unavoidable? Otherwise it’s just a design choice. To each their own though. 🤷‍♂️
@wertj3977
@wertj3977 4 месяца назад
@@MattSeesGray It's actually a design choice. The dimple is caused by heating the pigment/porcelain to temperatures way higher than normal. Ceramic (porclain) already requires higher temperatures than enamel due it's composition, but in the case of this watch which also uses a pigment, Credor takes it a step further. You can colour porclain in two ways, "onglaze" or "inglaze", the latter means the pigment is dissolved into the actual ceramic composite, causing the edges to turn light blue as seen in the video. Another thing about inglaze is that it requires an insane 1200 degrees celcius, which warps the dial and makes it extremely concave, much more so than normal enamel and porclain. Thus, you get the majestic result you see in the video. I personally think it's the most beautiful "plain" dial ever made.

Sounds like you’d be in the market for their sub brand several income tiers below this. Complaining about the price of this is like complaining about the price of a Bugatti, you aren’t the intended market for it.
