Great review, set off by that beautiful recitation. I've got one of these in my collection and you captured it perfectly. I've subscribed in the hope of hearing more from you. Best wishes from the troublesome lot to your east over the water.
A really interesting dial on this Presage here. I initially thought that it was silver in colour but after staring at the tiny screen on my phone I saw that it was more of the white colour that it is. The frosting effect is really well done and the macro shots were really great. I like that blue second hand too. You’d usually have to pay a lot more for that on something like the Soko watches GS did with their green second hands. The bracelet really reminds me of the Grand Seiko style bracelets on many of their watches. No surprises there. A lovely little review here Ben. Great work my friend. By the way, I loved the reading of ‘Wintertime’ 👍
Amazing what Seiko can do... I'm always very surprised how this Sarx resembles my Snowflake. The difference is in the details, of course; and probably in the movement, as well. As I've never held this Seiko Sarx in my hands, I can't say if it's a genuine contender. What I can say is that it's a beauty to look at in your review...
Thanks for watching. Bruce Williams compares both watches in hand. He says the GS Snowflake is on another level. The spring drive alone is a massive leap over the 6r15. In fact I know a lot of people think the €1000 this sarx055 costs is too expensive given the movement. I don’t agree with them. I hope your are enjoying your snowflake, wear it in good health.
I’d count the lightweight as a down side , not a benefit ... although I love the dial as well , for this price there are many other models I’d fancy over this one
